[Opening Titles: "Disney" and "Pixar"]
(The film starts with the intro of the first film, fluffy white clouds against a blue sky. The title "Toy Story 3" appears as a stick with something flaming hot on it puts the 3 on the title. The title then burns away to reveal a train chugging through a hot desert. One of the vans blows a hole in it's roof and bags of money fly out, followed by Mr. Potato Head, playing his One Eyed Bart role like in the first film, holding two more bags and laughing evilly.)
One Eyed Bart
*cackles and throws one of the bags in his slot* Money, money, money!
(Just then, a lasso grabs the other bag from him and yanks it away.)
One Eyed Bart
Hey!
(The lasso knocks him over. Woody walks up to him, facing downward while reeling his lasso in. He then puts his foot on Mr. Potato Head's face before lifting his head up to look at him. Mr. Potato Head groans.)
Woody
You've got a date with justice, One Eyed Bart.
One Eyed Bart
Too bad, Sheriff! I'm a married man.
(There's a karate yell and Mrs. Potato Head, playing the role of One Eyed Bart's wife One Eyed Betty, appears wielding nun chucks.)
Woody
One Eyed Betty?!
One Eyed Betty
*karate yells*
(Mrs. Potato Head attacks Woody who flips and ducks to avoid getting hit, forcing him to the back of the train until he teeters on the edge of the caboose. Then with a swing of her handbag, Mrs. Potato Head knocks Woody off the train sending him flying. Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head watch after him, Mr. Potato Head cackling in triumph then gasps when he sees something while Mrs. Potato Head looks shocked. Bullseye runs into view with Jessie and Woody on his back, revealing that he and Jessie caught Woody after he fall.)
Jessie
I think you dropped something, mister.
One Eyed Bart
Jessie?!
Woody
Give it up, Bart! You've reached the end of the line!
One Eyed Bart
*taking out a remote detonator* I always wanted to go out with a bang!
(He gestures to a bridge nearby which has a lot of dynamite in the middle of it. Cackling, Mr. Potato Head presses the detonate button and the dynamite explodes, destroying the bridge's entire middle section.)
Jessie
Oh, no!
Woody
The orphans!
(Troll toys stick their heads out of the windows.)
One Eyed Bart
Hate to leave early, but our ride is here.
(A pink convertible drives into view with the three toy aliens inside, each one wearing an eyepatch.)
Aliens
Oooh!
One Eyed Bart
It's me or the kiddies, sheriff! Take your pick!
(He and Mrs. Potato Head jump into the convertible which speeds off back the way it came.)
Woody
Ride like the wind, Bullseye!
Jessie
Yah!
(Bullseye speeds up passing the troll toys and reaching the locomotive pulling the train.)
Woody
Hold him steady!
(Woody jumps into the locomotive and pushes a lever forward. The train starts to speed up.)
Jessie
Woody, hurry!
(Woody pulls another lever back, activating the brakes. However, the train fails to stop in time and plunges over the edge carrying Woody with it, much to the horror of Jessie and Bullseye, who watch helplessly.)
Jessie
No!
(Just then, a flash of blue light happens and Buzz appears, carrying the train and Woody above his head.)
Buzz
Glad I could catch the train!
Woody
Now let's catch some criminals!
Buzz Lightyear
To infinity and beyond!
(He flies upward. Meanwhile, Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head drive past a sign saying Skull Canyon - All Outlaws Welcome. Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head throw coins in the air happily and start laughing and whooping.)
Aliens
*point upon seeing something* Ooh.
(Buzz flies in from up ahead and slice the car in two with his laser, sending the Potato Heads and the Aliens tumbling over and over before settling against a wall. Woody and Jessie show up as Buzz lands beside them.)
Woody
Reach for the sky.
One Eyed Bart
You can't touch me, Sheriff! I've brought my attack dog with a built in force field! *whistles*
(Slinky comes springing down from the cliff side growling. One Eyed Bart cackles as Slinky bites his tail activating the force field.)
Woody
Well, I've brought my dinosaur, who eats force field dogs!
Jessie
Yodel-Lay-Hee-HOOOOOO!!!!!~
(Jessie's yodeling cracks the ground and Rex comes out of it, roaring. He then glares at the bad guys and roars at them until a shadow looms over him.)
Rex
Huh..?
(Buzz, Jessie and Woody look up to a giant pig-like spaceship hovering above them.)
Buzz Lightyear
Evil Dr. Porkchop!
(We zoom in to Hamm, playing as Evil Dr. Porkchop.)
Dr. Porkchop
That's Mr. Evil Dr. Porkchop to you!
(One Eyed Bart cackles. One Eyed Bart and his family are teleported into the ship. Dr. Porkchop presses a button that reads Death By Monkeys. A barrel drops from the ship to the ground as Jessie, Buzz and Woody make a run for it and explodes, releasing hundreds of small red monkeys. Rex tries to fend them off by roaring by they overpower him. The monkeys catch up with Jessie, Buzz and Woody and stretch them out. The ship then points its head down at them and it's nose opens revealing a cannon. One Eyed Bart reaches for a button with a skull and crossbones cackling evilly as Buzz, Jessie and Woody shut their eyes, preparing for the worst.)
[Trans. Int. Andy's room]
(The whole thing is soon revealed to be Andy playing with his toys.)
Andy (Woody)
Buzz! Shoot your laser at my badge!
Andy (Buzz)
Woody, no! It'll kill you!
Andy (Woody)
Just do it!
(Andy poses Buzz to make it look as if he's covering his eyes while firing his laser at the same time. Andy makes laser noises while using his finger to make it look as if the laser is reflecting off of Woody's badge and hitting the ship, causing an explosion and Mr. Potato Head, Mrs. Potato Head, Slinky, Hamm and the Aliens to fall out onto the floor.)
Andy (Woody)
You're going to jail, Bart!
Andy (One Eyed Bart)
Aah! Watch out!
Andy
*continues playing until he sees his mom coming in and filming him* Mom.
Mrs. Davis
No, no, no! Just keep playing. Just pretend I'm not here. *as Molly knocks over the model bridge* Oh, no! Molly!
Andy
No, it's okay, Mom. It's a... fifty foot baby from outer space! And she's on a rampage! Run for your lives!
Mrs Davis
*laughing* Buster, get out of there! Does the red light mean it's going?
[Time-skip]
(Andy watches a movie with his toys and sticks a piece of popcorn in Rex's mouth but it falls out. He then runs around carrying Jessie, Buzz and Bullseye as if they're flying. Then he spins around with Woody on his shoulders before flopping down on the bed and hugging his toys. The camera zooms in on Woody's face before turning off, making the screen go black.)
[Trans. Int. ???]
Woody
Okay, places, everyone. *pushes something aside* Come on, come on. Get in position.
Mrs. Potato Head
Wait, I can't find my other eye.
Hamm
Alright, whose foot's in my face?
Mr. Potato Head
It's mine, give it back.
Aliens
You have saved our lives. We are eternally grateful.
Mr. Potato Head
*groans* Shh!
Jessie
Buzz, mind if I squeeze in next to ya?
Buzz
Yes... no. I mean, w-w-why would- Why would I mind squeezing next to you? *clears throat* Is it hot in here?
Rex
Oh, here they come!
(Sarge and two of his men carry a sock into the room.)
Woody
Sarge, you got it?
Sarge
Mission accomplished.
Rex
HOORAY!
Hamm
*laughing*
Mrs. Potato Head
Oooh!
Woody
Careful, careful.
(Buzz and Woody shake the sock and a mobile phone drops out.)
Jessie
Ooh!
Rex
*gasping*
Woody
All right, guys, we got one shot at this. Everyone ready?
Jessie
*holds up another phone* We're ready, Woody. Let's do it!
Woody
*to Buzz* Okay, Buzz, make the call.
(Buzz opens his wrist communicator to reveal a phone number which Jessie dials into her phone. Woody passes the mobile phone to Rex who holds it. Jessie presses the dial button on her phone and the mobile phone Rex is holding rings, making him jump. Buzz, Jessie and Woody peak out of the chest and here footsteps approaching the room.)
Buzz
Target is on approach.
Woody
Just like we rehearsed it, guys...
(They go back in. A shadow creeps over the chest as the toys freeze and the Irelanders hide. Andy, now a teenager, opens the chest and fumbles around for his phone until he picks up Rex who is still holding it. Andy yanks the phone free from Rex's grasp and flips it open before putting it to his ear.)
Andy
Hello? Hello? Anyone there. *sighs and hangs up, to Molly, now a little girl* Molly, stay out of my room!
Molly
*o.s.* I wasn't in your room.
(Andy looks at Rex before putting him back into the chest and closing it before heading out of the room.)
Andy
Then who was messing with my stuff?
Molly
It wasn't me.
(Andy shuts the door behind him. Woody looks out of the chest sadly with Buzz before they look at each other.)
Mr. Potato Head
Well, that went well.
Mrs. Potato Head
Oh.
Rex
He held me! He actually held me!
Hamm
Oh, this is just sad.
Mr. Potato Head
Who are we kidding? The kid's 17 years old.
Slinky
We ain't ever getting played with.
(Buzz and Woody get out the chest before Buzz gives Woody a nod.)
Woody
sighs* Uh, guys, hey, hold up. W-w-we need a staff meeting. Everyone, a staff meeting?
Hamm
Oh, not again.
Woody
Oh, come on. *to Slinky* Slink, gather everyone up.
Slinky
Uh, we are gathered, Woody.
Woody
Okay, uh, first off, we all knew Operation Playtime was a long shot.
Mr. Potato Head
More like a misfire.
Woody
But we always said this job isn't about getting play with, it's about...
Jessie
Being there for Andy, we know.
Rex
But we can try again, right?
Woody
I'm calling it, guys... We're closing up shop.
Toys
What?
Woody
Andy's going to college any day now. That was our last shot.
Mrs. Potato Head
*unhappily* Oh....
Buzz
We're going into attic mode, folks, keep you accessories with you at all times, spare parts, batteries, anything you need for orderly transition.
Mr. Potato Head
Orderly?! Don't you get it?! We're done, finished, over the hill!
Woody
Hey, hey, hey, now come on, guys. We all knew this day was coming.
Hamm
Yeah, but now it's here.
Woody
Look, every toy goes through this. No one wants to see...
Buzz
*to Sarge* Hey, Sarge, what are you doing?
Sarge
The war's over, folks. Me and the boys are moving on.
Woody
M-Moving on?
Buzz
You're going AWOL?
Sarge
We've done our duty. Andy's grown up.
Green Army Man #1
And let's face it, when the trash bags come out, we army guys are the first to go.
Buzz
Trash bags?
Woody
Who said anything about trash bags?
Sarge
It has been an honor serving with you. Good luck, folks.
Green Army Man #2
You're gonna need it.
(One of the men grabs Sarge and they parachute out of the window.)
Woody
*follows after them* No, no, no, wait, wait, wait, wait!
Rex
Aaah! We're getting thrown away?!
Woody
No. No one's getting thrown away.
Mr. Potato Head
*offscreen* How do you know?
Jessie
*hyperventilating* We're being abandoned.
Buzz
We'll be fine, Jessie.
Hamm
So why did Sarge leave?
Mrs. Potato Head
Should we leave?
Slinky
I thought we were going to the attic.
Rex
Oh, I hate all of this uncertainty.
Woody
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa! Hold on now, wait a minute! Quiet! No one's getting thrown out, okay?! We're all still here! I-I mean, yeah, we've lost friends along the way. Wheezy and Etch and...
Rex
Bo Peep?
Woody
Yeah, even- even Bo. All good toys who've gone on to new owners. But through every yard sale, every spring cleaning, Andy held onto us. He must care for us or we won't be here. You wait, Andy's gonna tuck us in the attic. It'll be safe and warm...
Buzz
And we'll all be together.
Woody
Exactly! There's games up there, and books, and-
Buzz
The race car track.
Woody
The race car track, thank you.
Slinky
And the old TV!
Woody
There you go, the old TV! And those guys from the Christmas decorations box. They're fun, right?
Mr. Potato Head
*mumbles* Yeah...
Mrs. Potato Head
Yeah.
Woody
And someday, if we're lucky, Andy may have kids of his own.
Rex
And then he'll play with us then, right?
Woody
We'll always be there for him.
Buzz
Come on, guys, let's get our parts together, get ready, and go out on a high note.
Mrs. Potato Head
I'd better find my other eye.
Mr. Potato Head
Where'd you leave it this time?
Mrs. Potato Head
*covering her left eye* Someplace dark... and dusty.
Hamm
Come on. Let's see how much we’re going for on eBay.
Woody
Don't worry. Andy's gonna take care of us, I guarantee it.
(Woody's expression soon changes from hopeful to sadness as he realizes it's no use. He climb up onto a dresser and looks at the room with sadness. He turns to look at a photo of Andy in his graduation clothes with his mom and Molly before lifting up to reveal a picture of young Andy playing happily with him and his friends. Woody looks at it with sadness, remembering what those times felt like. Buzz comes up behind him.)
Buzz
You guarantee it, huh?
Woody
I don't know, Buzz. What else could I say?
Buzz
Well, whatever happens, at least we'll all be together.
Woody
For infinity and beyond.
(Just then, they hear Molly and Andy coming.)
Molly
Can I have your stereo?
Andy
No.
Molly
Why not?
Andy
'Cause I'll be taking it with me...
Jessie
*shocked gasp*
(They hurry back into the chest just as Andy, Molly and their mom enter the room.)
Molly
...Can I have your computer?
Andy
No.
Molly
Your video games?
Andy
*chuckles* Forget it, Molly.
(Andy's mom carries two boxes into the room.)
Mrs. Davis
Okay, Andy, let's get to work here. Anything you’re not taking to college either goes in the attic, or it’s trash.
Andy
Mom, I'm not leaving till Friday.
Mrs. Davis
Oh, come on, it's garbage day.
Andy
Mom...
Mrs. Davis
Look, it's simple. Skateboard, college. Little League trophy, probably attic. Apple core, trash. You can do the rest.
Molly
*looks into the chest* Why do you still have these toys?
Andy
Urgh... Molly, out of my room!
Molly
Three more days and it's mine.
Mrs. Davis
Molly, you’re not off the hook either. You have more toys than you know what to do with. Some of them could make other kids really happy.
Molly
What kids?
Mrs Davis
The children at the daycare. They’re always asking for donations.
(The toys then peek out of the toy box.)
Rex
*from inside the chest, whispering* What's daycare?
Woody
Shh, shh.
Molly
But Mom...
Mrs. Davis
No buts. You choose what toys you want to donate and I'll drop them off at Sunnyside.
(As Mrs. Davis leaves, Molly sighs disappointingly and puts down a magazine and starts to put things into the box including a Barbie doll.)
Jessie
Poor Barbie...
Hamm
I get the Corvette.
Mrs. Davis
Andy, come on. You need to start making decisions.
Andy
Like what?
Mrs Davis
*opening the chest* Like...what are you gonna do with these toys? Should we donate them to Sunnyside?
Andy
No.
Mrs. Davis
Maybe sell them online?
Andy
Mom, no one's gonna want those old toys. They're junk.
Mrs. Davis
Fine, you have till Friday. Anything that’s not packed for college or in the attic is getting thrown out.
Andy
Whatever you say, mom...
(As Andy closes his laptop and looks at his room, he opens his chest and looks at the toys for a moment then gets out a trash bag and starts to put them into it. He then looks at Buzz and Woody as if trying make a decision... then finally he decided to put Woody in the college box and Buzz in the bag with the others.)
Jessie
*gasp*
Buzz
*gasp*
(Andy ties the bag shut and heads for the attic. They see Woody climb out of the box, a worried look on his face.)
Rex
What's happening?!
Mr. Potato Head
We're getting thrown out you idiot, that's what happening!
(Woody begins to run to the door and watches as Andy pulls down the ladder to the attic, much to Woody's relief. Andy is just climbing up to the attic when Molly exits her room carrying a box in her hands.)
Molly
*grunting*
Andy
You need a hand?
Molly
I got it.
Andy
Here. So, you gonna miss me when I’m gone?
Molly
If I say no, do I still get your room?
Andy
Nope.
Molly
*o.s.* Then yes, I’ll miss you.
(They head down the stairs, Andy not realizing he left the trash bag with his toys in on the floor.)
Jessie
*panting with anxiety* I can't breathe!
Rex
Oh, this can't be happening!
Buzz
Quiet! What's that sound?
(The attic ladder folds back up and pushes the bag back, sending it and the toys tumbling until they stop.)
Toys
...Whoa!
(Woody tries to sneak out of the room to get them out but duck out of sight when Mrs. Davis walk through the hallway and accidentally tripped on the bag.)
Mrs. Davis
*sighs in annoyance* Andy?! *groans*
(She picks up the bag and carries it downstairs. Woody watch this from the doorway.)
Woody
*gasps* That's not trash. That's not trash! Come on, think, Woody. Think, think, think. Oh! *whistles* Buster! Come here, boy, come here!
(Buster, now a fully grown up old dog, walks slowly into the room.)
Woody
*gets on Buster's back* Okay, boy, to the curb! Hee-yah!
(Buster yawns and rolls over onto his back, flattening Woody to cringe.)
Woody
*straining* No, Buster, no! Get up, Buster! *pulls Buster, making him roll over him, panting* Oh! *gasps*
(He hurries to the window and saw Andy's mom putting the bags on the curb next to the trash cans. The bag which the toys are in moves about.)
Jessie
We're on the curb!
Mr. Potato Head
Oh, I knew it would come to this!
Buzz
Pull, everyone, pull!
(Woody grabs some scissors and he slides down the drain pipe, though he hits the gutter and fall into the bushes.)
Woody
AAAAAH!!!
(The toys are still trying to get out of the bag but to no avail.)
Rex
*grunting* It won't rip!
Hamm
Oh, forget it, it's triple-ply, high-density polyethylene!
Buzz
There's gotta be a way out.
Mr. Potato Head
Oh, Andy doesn't want us, what's the point?
Buzz
*gets an idea* Point, point, point! *sees Rex's tail*
(The toys starts to push Rex against the bag in an attempt to poke a hole in it.)
Buzz
Push, push!
Rex
I can hear the garbage truck! It's getting closer- *muffled speech*
(Woody cut through the bushes with the scissors. Seeing the truck arrived, they quickly run to the mailbox and hide. An older Sid Phillips, now a fully grown adult, exits the truck scatting to music. He picks up a trash can and walk to his truck. Woody uses the scissors to cut a bag but all that was in it was trash. Woody cuts the other bag, but the same result came out as well. He hides behind the mailbox as Sid picks up the bags and put them in the rubbish crusher. Woody watch as the truck rolls over to the next house and ran after it. He watch behind a fire hydrant as the crusher crushed the bags, much to their horror.)
Woody
Buzz! Jessie!
(He looks to see the toys under a box walking into the garage, safe and unharmed, much to their relief. In the garage, the toys lift the box off themselves.)
Slinky
Andy threw us out.
Hamm
Like we were garbage.
Mr. Potato Head
Junk. He called us junk.
Mrs. Potato Head
How could he?! *crying*
Buzz
This doesn't make any sense...
Jessie
I should have seen this coming. It's Emily all over again.
Hamm
Eh, Sarge was right.
Mr. Potato Head
Yeah, and Woody was wrong.
Buzz
Wait a minute, wait, hold on. This is no time to be hysterical.
Hamm
It's the perfect time to be hysterical.
Rex
Should we be hysterical?!
Slinky
NO!
Mr. Potato Head
Yes!
Buzz
Maybe, but not right now!
Jessie
YEE-HAW! Fellas, I know what to do.
(Woody then runs to a flower pot and saw the toys getting into the donation box.)
Woody
What the heck?
(He head over to the garage. Jessie is helping a squeaky alien into the box.)
Jessie
Oh, we should have done this years ago.
Buzz
Jessie, wait. What about Woody?
Jessie
He's fine, Buzz. Andy's taking him to college, now we need to go.
Buzz
You're right. Come on.
(He puts another alien into the box as Woody shows up.)
Woody
Buzz?
Buzz
Woody!
Woody
What- what's going on? Don't you know this box is being donated?
Buzz
It's under control, Woody, we have a plan.
Rex
We're going to daycare.
Woody
Daycare?! What, have you all lost your marbles?
Mrs. Potato Head
Well, didn’t you see? Andy threw us away.
Woody
No, no, no, no. He was putting you in the attic.
Mr. Potato Head
Attic? So how did we end up on the curb?
Woody
That was a mistake. Andy's mom thought you were trash.
Hamm
Yeah, after he put us in a trash bag.
Mrs. Potato Head
And called us junk!
Woody
Uh, y-yeah, I know. It looks bad, but guys, you gotta believe me.
Mr. Potato Head
Sure thing, college boy.
Jessie
Andy's moving on, Woody. It's time we did the same.
Woody
Okay, out of the box. Everyone, right now! Come on, Buzz, give me a hand. We gotta get this thing outta here.
Buzz
Woody, wait. We need to figure out what's best for everyone.
(Just then, Andy's mom enters the car and starts it up and reverses out of the garage.)
Woody
Oh, great, great! It's gonna take us forever to get back here.
(The car backs out onto the road and drives away.)
[Trans. Int. Donation box]
(The toys then try to comfort a crying Barbie.)
Mrs. Potato Head
Oh, it’s all right, Barbie, you'll be okay.
Barbie
Well, Molly and I have been growing apart for years. It’s just… I can’t believe she would throw me away! *sobbing*
Mr. Potato Head
Welcome to the club, toots.
(Suddenly, the box flaps open and Woody and Buzz vault in.)
Woody
Okay, everyone, listen up. We can get back to Andy's but we've gotta move fast. We'll hide under the seats till we get home.
Mr. Potato Head
Get it through your vinyl noggin, Woody. Andy doesn't want us anymore.
Woody
He was putting you IN THE ATTIC!!!
Jessie
He left us on the curb!
Buzz
*pushes Woody and Jessie apart* Alright, calm down, both of you!
Woody
Okay, fine, fine. Just wait 'til you see what daycare's like.
Rex
Why? What's it like?
Woody
Daycare is a sad lonely place for washed up old toys who have no owners.
(Abruptly, Barbie turns away and starts crying loudly.)
Hamm
Quite the charmer, aren't ya?
Woody
Oh, you'll see. As soon as we get to daycare, you'll be begging to go home.
(Suddenly, the car jolts as it hits a bump passing a sign that reads Sunnyside Daycare.)
[Trans. Ext. Sunnyside Daycare]
(Andy's mom gets out of the car and grabs the boxes. She then carries them to the building.)
Rex
Can anyone see anything?
Jessie
*gasps* There's a playground.
Buzz
Wow!
Jessie
We hit the jackpot, Bullseye!
Hamm
So much for sad and lonely, huh?
Woody
Okay, calm down, guys, let's try to keep this in perspective.
Mr. Potato Head
Perspective?! This place is perfect.
Rex
Woody, it's nice. See? The door has a rainbow on it.
[Trans. Int. Lobby]
(Andy's mom knocks on the door and the receptionist push a button to let her in.)
Mrs. Davis
Hey there!
Mrs. Anderson
Wow! Haven't seen you in ages.
Mrs. Davis
I just wanted to drop these old toys off. Is this Bonnie? Look how big you are.
(On the desk, Bonnie Anderson, Mrs. Anderson's daughter, sits with a toy monkey which she plays with.)
Mrs. Anderson
Say hi, sweetie.
Bonnie
Hi.
Mrs. Anderson
Hey, how are your kids, Molly and Andy?
Mrs. Davis
Not kids anymore. Andy’s going to college on Friday.
Mrs. Anderson
What?
Mrs. Davis
Can you believe it?
Mrs. Anderson
Are you sure they won't miss having these?
Mrs. Davis
No, they never get played with.
[Trans. Int. Hallway]
(Mrs. Anderson carries the box through a corridor.)
Mr. Potato Head
Do you see any kids?
Rex
*gasps* Where is she taking us?
(Mrs. Anderson went into a room and put the box down on top of a counter and left.)
Jessie
Look.
Mr. Potato Head
Wow!
Rex
What?! What is it?!
(In the room, kids play happily with toys. Two boys are playing with toy dinosaurs while a girl plays with a toy cat and a doll wearing a flower on its head. In an armchair, a girl is playing with a pink bear and hugging it while a boy plays with a toy robot.)
Rex
Aah! I can't see!
(A teacher enters from outside as the bell rang.)
Teacher
OK, everyone, recess. Come on.
(The kids cheer in excitement and exit the room and the teacher follows.)
Hamm
So now what do we do?
Woody
We go back to Andy's. Anyone see an exit?
Mr. Potato Head
Exit schmexit. Let's get played with.
Buzz
Careful. These toys might be jealous of new arrivals.
Rex
I want to see!
Hamm
Hey, watch it!
Woody
Rex!
Rex
It's my turn!
(Rex is in such a rush to see what is happening, that he causes the box to fall off the counter and onto the floor, spilling the toys out. Everyone looks to see the toys in the room staring at them.)
Jack-in-the-Box
New toys!
(All toys cheer as the toys go to greet the newcomers. Jessie shakes the hand of a rock monster named Chunk.)
Jessie
Well, howdy! Glad to meet ya.
Buzz
*shakes hands with a robot named Sparks* Buzz Lightyear, at your service.
(Hamm, Slinky and Barbie are shaking hands with a purple octopus named Stretch.)
Hamm
*chuckles* Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy.
Rex
Hahahahaha!
(A bug with armour on him help Mrs. Potato Head stand up.)
Mrs. Potato Head
Oh, thank you. May I? *giggles*
(The bug allows her to touch his muscles, making Mr. Potato Head a little jealous. He tried to flex his own muscles but it flopped down much to his dismay. A crane passed the Aliens.)
Aliens
The claw!
(Everyone then heard a truck's horn and they look to see a yellow truck reverse into view, carrying the bear the girl had been playing with earlier. He's carrying a cane.)
Lotso
Well, hello there. *gets out of the dumper* I thought I heard new voices. Welcome to Sunnyside, folks. I'm Lots-o'-Huggin' Bear, but please call me Lotso.
Buzz
Buzz Lightyear, we come in- (Lotso hugs Buzz very hard.)
Lotso
*chuckles* First thing you gotta know about me, I'm a hugger. *lets go of Buzz before he breathes* Oh, look at you all. You’ve been through a lot today, haven't ya?
Mrs. Potato Head
Oh, it's been horrible.
Lotso
Well, you're safe now. We’re all castoffs here. We been dumped, donated, yard-saled, second handed and just plain thrown out. But just you wait, you'll find being donated was the best thing that ever happened to ya. (Woody scoffs.)
Rex
Mr. Lotso, do toys here get played with every day?
Lotso
All day long. Five days a week.
Jessie
But what happens when the kids grow up?
Lotso
Well, now I'll tell ya. *gestures to pictures of kid groups over the years on the wall with his cane* When the kids get old, new ones come in. When they get old, new ones replace them. You’ll never be outgrown or neglected, never abandoned or forgotten. No owners means no heartbreak.
Jessie
YEE-HAW!
Mrs. Potato Head
It's a miracle.
Mr. Potato Head
And you want us to stay at Andy's.
Woody
Because we're Andy's toys.
Lotso
So you got donated by this Andy, huh? Well, it's his loss, Sheriff, he can't hurt you no more.
Woody
Whoa, whoa, no, no, no-
Lotso
Now let's get you all settled in. Ken? Where is that boy? *calls from afar* Ken? New toys!
Ken
Far out! Down in a jiff, Lotso. *goes to the elevator and goes down the lift from his Dream House* So, who's ready for Ken's dream tour?
Lotso
Let's show our new friends where they'll be staying.
Ken
Uh, folks, if you want to step right this way- *notices barbie*
(He stops as "Dreamweaver" plays in background, when he sees Barbie and she sees him. Completely entranced in love struck awe, the two dolls walk up to each other.)
Ken
Hi, I'm Ken.
Barbie
Barbie. Have we ever met...?
Ken
Uh-uh. I would've remembered. (Barbie giggles.) Love your legwarmers.
Barbie
Nice ascot.
Lotso
*steps between Ken and Barbie, interrupting the romantic moment* Come on, Ken, recess don't last forever.
Ken
Right on, Lotso. This way, everybody.
(He extends a gentlemanly arm as Barbie giggles.)
Lotso
You got a lot to look forward to, folks. The little ones love new toys.
Buzz
What a nice bear.
Rex
And he smells like strawberries.
(As the toys walk off, Woody sighs, exasperated.)
Ken
Folks, if I can share, here at Sunnyside, we've got... well, just about anything a toy could ask for.
Lotso
Spare parts, superglue, and enough fresh batteries to choke a Hungry Hungry Hippo. *flings open a utility closet, revealing a spa-like workshop* Think you’re gettin' old?
Jessie
Wow.
Lotso
Well, stop your worryin'.
Ken
Our repair spa will keep you stuffed, puffed, and lightly buffed.
Elephant toy
Ahh-CHOO!
(As the tour continues, Ken gestures to his Dream House.)
Ken
And this... Well, this is where I live. It's Ken's Dream House. It has a disco, it's got a dune buggy, and a whole room just for trying on clothes.
Barbie
*gasps* You have everything!
Ken
Everything except someone to share it with.
(Barbie gasps and shudders lovingly.)
Lotso
You need anything at all, you just come to me. Here we are.
(He uses his cane to knock on the door to the bathroom. A baby doll with a broken eye opens it.)
Big Baby
*gurgles*
Lotso
Well, thank you, Big Baby. Why don't you come meet our new friends? Poor baby. We were thrown out together, me and him. Abandoned by the same owner. But we don't need owners at Sunnyside. We own ourselves. We're masters of our own fate. We control our own destiny.
(Mr. Potato Head yelps as he slips on a puddle of water.)
Lotso
Oh, watch out for puddles. And here's where you folks will be stayin’. The Caterpillar Room.
[Trans. Int. The Caterpillar Room]
(They enter a room where toys race and walk around.)
Jessie
Look at this place.
Mr. Potato Head
Wow.
Hamm
Holy moly guacamole.
Mr. Potato Head
Jackpot, baby. *whistles*
Slinky
Whoa, puppy.
Bunny
Hello.
Zebra
Hello.
Lion
Hello.
(A toy train whizzes past, whistling.)
Mrs. Potato Head
It's so beautiful.
(Woody felt something bumping against his leg. He looks down to see a toy telephone on wheels.)
Woody
What the-? Oh, hey, little guy.
Lotso
How long's it been since you all got played with?
Slinky
It's been years.
Lotso
*chuckles* Well, just you wait. In a few minutes, that bell's gonna ring and you'll get the playtime that you've been dreamin' of.
Rex
Play! Real play! I can't wait!
Lotso
Now, if you'll excuse us, we best be headin' back. *backs up to the truck and climbing back into the dumper* Welcome to Sunnyside, folks.
Rex
Thank you!
Mr. Potato Head
Take care, pinky!
Buzz
Goodbye, Mr. Lotso, thank you.
Hamm
Thank you, buddy boy.
Barbie
Will I see you again?
Ken
Oh, I'll see you tonight... in my dreams.
Lotso
Ken, let's get a move on.
Ken
Barbie, come with me. Live in my dream house. I know it's crazy, I know we just met. Aw, heck, you don't know me from G.I. Joe but when I look at you I feel like we were...
Barbie and Ken
...made for each other? *gasp*
(They look at the toys. Mrs. Potato Head waves and Jessie gives a thumbs up.)
Barbie
Yay!
Ken
Yes!
Lotso
*offscreen* Ken?
Ken
*drags Barbie behind him* Coming, Lotso! *laughs*
(Barbie and Ken jump into the dumper with Lotso, Barbie in Ken's arms as it drives off. Big Baby leaves too, shutting the door behind him. The toys see the kids playing outside.)
Hamm
Sounds like kids to me.
Rex
Oh, I wanna get played with. Why can't time go faster?!
Jessie
How many do you reckon are out there?
Mrs. Potato Head
Oh, they sound so sweet.
(Hamm chuckles as they head over to the window. Woody watches and looks around the room, a concerned expression on his face. He sighs and walks up to the others following him.)
Woody
Look, everyone, it's nice here, I admit it. But we need to go home.
Jessie
We can have a whole new life here, Woody. A chance to make kids happy again.
Slinky
Why don't you stay?
Rex
Yeah, Woody, stay with us.
Hamm
Come on, Woodster.
Mr. Potato Head
You'll get played with.
Woody
I can't. No, no.
Mrs. Potato Head
Stay here.
Woody
G-Guys, really. NO! (Everyone looks at him with shocked expressions.) I have a kid. You have a kid. Andy! And if he wants us a-at college or in the attic, well then our job is to be there for him. Now I'm going home. And whoever wants to join me is welcome. *walks away* Come on, Buzz. *stops when he realizes they haven't followed him and turns back* ...Buzz?
Buzz
*walks up to him* Our mission with Andy is complete, Woody.
Woody
What?
Buzz
And what's important now is we stay together.
Woody
We wouldn't even be together if it weren't for Andy. *holds up his boot which has Andy's name written on it* Look under your boot, Buzz. You too, Jessie, who's name is written there?
Rex
Maybe Andy doesn't care about us anymore.
Woody
Of course he does. He cares about all of you! He was putting you in the attic, I saw. You can't just turn your back on him now!
Jessie
Woody, wake up! It's over! Andy is all grown up!
(Woody looks shocked before his shocked face turns into an angry expression.)
Woody
Okay, fine. Perfect. I can't believe how selfish you all are.
(The toys glared at Woody whilst the others look sad.)
Woody
So this is it? After all we've been through.
(Buzz steps forward to Woody and extends a hand, hoping for him to shake it. However, Woody just straightens his hat and begins to walk away when they hear Bullseye panting and turn to see him behind him.)
Woody
*sighs* Bullseye, no. You need to stay. (He continues toward the door only for Bullseye to follow him further.) Bullseye, no, I said stay! (Bullseye whimpers.) Look, I don't want you left alone in the attic, okay? Now stay.
(Bullseye nods and goes back to the others. Jessie puts a comforting hand on him when they hear Bonnie's mom outside the door.)
Mrs. Anderson
*offscreen* Bonnie? Bonnie?
Woody
Uh, I-I gotta go.
(All the toys scatter. Mrs. Anderson opens the door and walks in.)
Mrs. Anderson
Bonnie, you in here?
(Woody catches the door and holds it to go through before looking at the others one more time then shutting the door behind him as his friends look on.)
[Trans. Ext. Hallway]
(At the hallway, two woman are talking as Woody peaks out from under a wet floor sign. Woody creep past the talking women when he see a janitor's trolley being wheeled towards them. Woody, seeing nowhere else to hide, freezes. As the trolley passes over the group, they cling onto the bottom of it in order to remain hidden. He hold on tight until they saw the door ahead of them.)
Woody
Come on, come on... Oh, no, no.
[Trans. Int. Bathroom]
(The trolley turns away from the door and into the bathroom. The janitor whistles as he starts to clean the sinks. He creeps into a toilet cubicle and see an open window above it. Woody smiles and snatches the toilet paper and puts it on the toilet to provide grip on the slippy surface. He climbs up onto the seat and helps climbs up but as he climbs onto the toilet paper roll, it spins, making them hang on and Woody nearly loses his hat but he caught it just in time. He climbs up the wall of the cubicle and up to the window when the janitor suddenly looked up and saw them in the mirror.)
Janitor
Wha...? What the heck? *uses a cloth to clean a smudge on the mirror, giving the group time to get out* Ah, that's better.
[Trans. Ext. Sunnyside Daycare]
(Woody feels out of breath. He sees Bonnie doing hopscotch on the number steps.)
Mrs. Adnerson
*offscreen* Bonnie?
Bonnie
Bluebells, cockleshells...
Mrs. Anderson
Oh, there you are. Come on, honey, it's time to go home.
(Bonnie takes her mother's hand and they leave. Woody climb up to the roof and run over it til he came to the end of it. He look down at the kids playing in the playground and the wall surrounding it. Just then, a gust of wind blew Woody's hat away.)
Woody
Oh, no, no, no, no!
(The hat stops right next to a green kite which gave Woody an idea. He grabs the kite and wings and back. They race toward the edge and Woody lets the wind carry him and the kite. He flies over the wall letting him get off him as He lands beside himself. A strong gust blew him and the kite straight up into the sky. Woody holds onto the kite for dear life but suddenly it breaks and he falls down to a tree where his pull-string gets caught on a branch and stops him just before he hits the ground.)
Woody
*voice box* Reach for the sky.
(Woody freezes as Bonnie comes hopping up to them.)
Bonnie
Bluebells, cockshells. Eenie, miny…
(Bonnie bumps into Woody and looks up to see him. She then looks around and pulls him down from the tree.)
Woody
*voice box* You're my favourite deputy.
(Bonnie smiles at this quote.)
Mrs. Anderson
Bonnie!
Bonnie
Coming!
(She puts Woody into her backpack and went into her mom's car.)
Woody
*groans* Great.
(Bonnie closes the car door. As it started to drive away which had fallen off when Bonnie stepped on him without realizing, and Woody's hat lay on the grass next to the tree.)
[Trans. Int. The Caterpillar Room]
(Depressed, Bullseye looks at the door, sadly.)
Jessie
Oh, it's gonna be okay, Bullseye.
Buzz
Woody's going go to college with Andy, it's what he's always wanted.
Mr. Potato Head
Ah, he's crazy. College is no place for a toy.
Mrs. Potato Head
Toys are for play time.
Hamm
Oh, speaking of play time, they're lining up out there!
Buzz
How many?
Hamm
There must be dozens.
Rex
Ahh! I can hardly wait!
Buzz
Places, everyone. *runs off*
Rex
Ahh!
(The toys move into positions all over the room. Buzz then notices several toys in the room hiding in various places in the room fearfully and is confused. Rex runs up to the door in excitement as the bell rang.)
Rex
At last, I'm gonna get played with!
Buzz
Uh... Rex?
Rex
Come to papa.
(Toddlers then burst into the room, the door knocking Rex aside in the process. as the toddlers throw, bash, kick and toss the toys around like using Jessie as a paintbrush, pours glitter on Hamm, using Rex like a hammer, drool on Buzz and put the Potato Heads' parts in their mouths and nostrils. They even grab Stick Man and torture him as well. A boy grab a girl's crown and ran off, promoting the girl to cry and toss Buzz away as she ran after him. Buzz landed on the window stand and saw the kids in the Butterfly Room playing gently with Lotso and several other toys there. He wonders why he and his friends were in the Caterpillar room and not there when he is suddenly snatched from the window stand by a kid and the playtime continues. The screen fades to black.)
[Trans. ???]
Woody
*voice box* There's a snake in my boot!
[Trans. Int. Bonnie's room]
(It changes over to Bonnie pulling Woody's pull-string and turning him around to face her.)
Woody
*voice box* I'd like to join you posse, boys, but first I'm gonna sing a little song.
Bonnie
A sheriff!
(Bonnie puts Woody on a stool and moves Mr. Pricklepants, a hedgehog toy, over to the side of the table next to Buttercup, a white unicorn toy, and Trixie, a blue triceratops toy.)
Bonnie
Move over, Mr. Pricklepants, we have a guest. *passes cups to each of them* You want some coffee? *pretends to drink coffee from her own cup* It's good for you, but don't drink too much, or you'll have to... have to... Be right back!
(Bonnie runs to the bathroom come out of hiding.)
Woody
Psst. Hey, hello. Hi. Excuse me-
Mr. Pricklepants
Shhh.
Woody
Can you tell me where I am?
Mr. Pricklepants
Shhhh.
Buttercup
The guy's just asking you a question.
Mr. Pricklepants
Well, excuse me, I'm trying to stay in character. *inhales and freezes*
Buttercup
My name's Buttercup. You've met Baron Von Shush.
Mr. Pricklepants
Shh!
Trixie
Hello, I'm Trixie.
Mr. Pricklepants and Trixie
Shh, shh, shhhh!
Woody
Guys, hey. Guys, look, I don't know where I am.
Trixie
We're either in a café in Paris or a coffee shop in New Jersey. I'm pretty sure I just came back from the doctor with life-changing news.
Buttercup
We do a lot of improv here. Just stay loose, have fun, you'll be fine.
Woody
No, no, no, no. I-
(Woody gets back in his pose when he hears footsteps approach.)
Bonnie
Who wants lunch? *taps a toy microwave and brings out a toy burger which she puts in front of Woody* Bee-boop-bee-boop. It has a secret ingredient. *lifts the top off revealing jellybeans* Jellybeans. *eats one and pulls Woody's pull string again*
Woody
*voice box* Somebody's poisoned the waterhole!
Bonnie
*gasps* Poisoned?! *spits the jellybean out onto Mr. Pricklepants* Who would do such a mean thing?
(She stops and looks shocked before looking a purple haired soft plush doll named Dolly sitting on a shelf nearby.)
Bonnie
*does a witch's cackle* Aaah! The scary witch! Look out! *grabs Dolly and runs around the room* She's using her witchy powers! *lands on her bed*
Bonnie (Woody)
I know where to hide!
(Later, Bonnie is hiding in her toy basket. She picks up Totoro, a stuffed rabbit toy with no legs and pulls him inside before ducking back in.)
Bonnie
She'll never find us in here. *lifts Dolly up with her hand and turns Woody to look at Dolly* What's wrong?
(Bonnie turns her head and seeing Dolly, she screams and throws herself, her toys and the basket onto the floor.)
Bonnie
Aah! She found us! We need a spaceship to get away from the witch! *runs out of the room*
(The toys unfreeze and pick themselves up.)
Trixie
You're doing great.
Mr. Pricklepants
Are you classically trained?
Woody
Look, I just need to know how to get out of here.
Buttercup
There is no way out! (Woody gasps.) Just kidding, door's right over there.
Dolly
Well, cowboy, you just jumped right in, didn't ya? I'm Dolly.
Woody
*shakes hands with Dolly* Woody.
Dolly
Woody? Really? You're gonna stick with that? 'Cause now's your chance to change it, new room and all. That’s coming from a doll named Dolly.
(Woody backs into a pea pod with a zip. It opens revealing three peas inside.)
Peatrice
Who's the new guy?
Peanelope
Are you a real cowboy?
Woody
Well, actually-
Peatey
Of course he's not, pea brain, he don't even have a hat.
Woody
I do too ha- *gasps when he sees his hat's not on his head* My hat!
Peatey
Told ya.
Bonnie
*offscreen* I found a spaceship!
Mr. Pricklepants
Showtime!
Bonnie
Quick, get in. Fasten your seat belts, close your tray tables, hold on. It might get a little bumpy. Three, two, one, blastoff!
(Bonnie throws the toys in the air and they land on her bed which she climbs onto and cuddles them.)
Bonnie
Yee-haw! You saved us cowboy, you're our hero! *laughs*
(Woody and the other toys smile at each other.)
[Trans. Int. Caterpillar Room]
(All the groaning toys are recovering from their beatings they took that morning.)
Slinky
Oh, I've got a kink in my slink.
Jessie
*groans and looks at her paint covered braid* Ugh...
Rex
*yelps running into view with his tail missing* My tail! Where's my tail?!
Buzz
*groans*
(Hamm opens his cork and lots of bits drop out including a hand from one of the Potato Heads and a toy which he squeezes out.)
Hamm
Someone need a hand? *tosses it to the Potato Heads who are putting their parts in the right places*
Mr. Potato Head
*groans* Where's my nose?
Mrs. Potato Head
Here it is.
Mr. Potato Head
Here's your arm.
Mrs. Potato Head
Give me that. That's mine.
Mr Potato Head
Honey, the mustache?
Buzz
*opens his helmet* I don't recall playtime being quite that strenuous.
Rex
*pulls his tail free from a shape game* Andy never played with us like that...
Jessie
*pulls stickers off Bullseye* We're just gonna have to make the best of it.
Mr. Potato Head
But these toddlers, they don't know how to play with us.
Rex
They're too young!
Hamm
Yeah, they're sticky.
Slinky
Well, we should be in the Butterfly Room.
Mrs. Potato Head
With the big kids.
Mr. Potato Head
That's right.
Hamm
Yeah, you said it.
Buzz
We'll get this straightened out. I'll go talk to Lotso about moving us to the other room. *climbs to the door and tries to open it but finds that it's locked* Blast. Try that one.
Jessie
It's locked!
Slinky
Same here.
Buzz
Try the windows.
Hamm
Eh... negatory. It's a Fenster-Schneckler 380. Finest childproof lock in the world.
Mrs. Potato Head
We're trapped!
Buzz
Wait. Did anyone notice the transom?
(All the toys look up and notice Buzz's right.)
Mr. Potato Head
Oh, great. How do we get up there?
(Buzz looks deep in thought.)
[Time-skip]
Buzz
All right, everyone. On three! One, two...
Jessie
Three!
Buzz
Whoa!
(The toys run towards the door with the toy vacuum.)
Jessie
Let go!
(Jessie, Slinky, Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head let go of the vacuum which Buzz jumps onto. The vacuum hits something and the handle sends Buzz flying to the ceiling where he swings between some balloons like vines before heading straight ahead. He presses the red button on his chest, deploying his wings. He grabs onto pinatas towards the transom.)
Hamm
Go!
(Rex and Bullseye jump onto a broomstick knocking it over. Buzz bounces off the top of it and onto the transom.)
Rex
He did it!
Hamm
Yes sir!
Jessie
*laughs and grabs the rope Buzz tosses down* Way to go, Buzz.
[Trans. Ext. Hallway]
(Buzz looks down and sees Twitch and Chunk walking through the corridor.)
Chunk
*chuckles* Do you think they had a good playtime?
Twitch
Shhh. They might hear you.
(Buzz sees Barbie and Ken standing outside the Butterfly Room door.)
Ken
Okay, now you start.
Barbie
I...
Ken
...love...
Barbie
...you.
Ken
See? That time I said love. Okay, now me first.
Barbie
Okay, okay, okay.
(Buzz watches with little disgust at Barbie and Ken's love for each other.)
Ken
I...
Barbie
...love...
Ken
...you. You see what I mean? It changes every time.
Barbie
You are so smart.
Twitch
*grabs Ken* Come on, Romeo, we're late.
Barbie
I'll wait up for you.
Ken
Kisses.
(Barbie goes back into the Butterfly Room. Buzz parasails down to the floor and unties the rope from his waist before heading after the trio who walks into a teacher's lounge room. He watches as Ken, Chunk and Twitch climb into a vending machine. He creeps over to the vending machine and looks up and sees the shadows moving in front of the sign. Buzz frowns and signals for the others to follow him. He climbs into the hatch and starts climbing the shelves. He opens a hatch at the top and climb through it. He hears voices and creeps over to see the toys from the Butterfly Room playing a gambling game, joined by Stretch and Sparks.)
Ken
All right, place your bets. Come on, everybody. Come on. Any splits?
Twitch
Heya. Bring it here.
Chunk
Alright.
Ken
Here we go. Come on, horsey, come on!
Chunk
Come on, turkey, come on, turkey.
Stretch
Gobble, gobble, baby.
Ken
Come on, horsey.
Stretch
Come on, duck.
Ken
All right, that's it. No more bets.
Chunk
Come on! Right here.
Stretch
Let me have the duck, let me have the duck, let me have the duck.
Farmer's voice
Here is a duck.
Duck
*quacks*
Stretch
I won!
Twitch
Aw, man!
Chunk
*groans*
Ken
Well, Stretch takes the round.
Stretch
You lost! *laughs hysterically*
Ken
Okay, minimum bet, five Monopoly. Coyote's wild.
Stretch
Here, here. Two greens, here.
Ken
Changing two double A's. Hey, what do you guys think of the new recruits? Any keepers?
Stretch
Oh, please. Landfill.
Sparks and Chunk
*laughing*
Ken
Cowgirl? Dinosaur?
Twitch
Toddler fodder.
Ken
But that, uh, space guy, he could be useful.
Chunk
He ain't the sharpest knife in the place where they keep the knives.
Sparks
Neither are you, Chunk.
Toys
*laughing*
Twitch
You got a little keeper yourself, didn't you, Ken?
Ken
Hey, lay off, Twitch. Barbie's different.
Stretch
Aww, Mr. Softy over here.
Chunk
What do you expect from a girl's toy?
Ken
I'm not a girl's toy, I'm not! Why do you guys keep saying that?
Twitch
Ah, all them toys are disposable. We'll be lucky if they last us a week.
(Buzz starts to leave to tell what he hears to the others when he bumps into Big Baby who immediately throws him onto the gambling table in front of Stretch, Sparks, Chunk, Twitch and Ken.)
Ken
Well, well. Looky who we have here.
(Chuck, Sparks and Stretch grab Buzz.)
Buzz
Let me go!
Ken
Take him to the library.
(They shove a sock puppet over Buzz, covering him.)
Buzz
NOOOO!
[Trans. Int. Bonnie's house]
(Meanwhile, at Bonnie's house, Bonnie and her toys are fast asleep. Woody gets up and creep over the bed. He saw the door and Bonnie's cape with something written on it. Curious, they push a chair, climb onto it and pull back the cape to reveal an address written on Bonnie's backpack.)
Woody
*quietly* 1225 Sycamore...
Mr. Pricklepants
Psst. Woody, what are you doing?
Woody
I gotta get outta here.
Trixie
You're leaving?
Buttercup
But didn't you have fun today?
Woody
Well, of course I did, more than I’ve had in years, but... you see, I belong to someone else. *holds up his boot to show them Andy's name written on it*
Buttercup
Who's Yid-Nah?
Mr. Pricklepants
I believe it's pronounced Yid-Nay.
Dolly
Guys, it says "Andy".
Woody
He's my Bonnie, and he's leaving soon, I gotta get home.
Peatrice
Where's home?
Woody
Elm Street. 234 Elm. You guys have a map?
Dolly
We're on it, cowboy. Trixie?
Trixie
I'll fire up the computer.
[Trans. Int. Utility closet]
(The sock puppet is removed from Buzz and he sees then a light above them. Buzz is tied to a chair made of LEGO with pink rubber bands as ropes. He struggles in his ties.)
Buzz
Unhand me, you cowards! I demand to talk to Lotso!
Ken
Zip it, Buck Rogers. You don't talk to Lotso till we say you can-
(The door opens and Lotso stands in the doorway, a puzzled look on his face.)
Lotso
Ken, what's goin' on here? Why is this toy tied up?
Ken
Uh, h-he got out, Lotso.
Lotso
Got out? Oh, no, no, no, no, no. This isn't how we treat our guests. F-A-Oh, my Schwarz. *unties Buzz* There you go. I'm so sorry.
Buzz
Lotso, there's been a mistake.
Lotso
A mistake?
Buzz
The children in the Caterpillar Room are not age-appropriate for me and my friends. We respectfully request a transfer to the Butterfly Room.
Lotso
Well, request granted.
Ken
But Losto!
Lotso
Hush now, Kenneth. This toy's shown initiative, leadership. Why, I'd say we've found ourselves a keeper. Hear that, everyone? We got a keeper!
(Lotso's Gang applauds dutifully.)
Lotso
We're calling you up to the big leagues, son. From now on, you’ll have anything you want.
Buzz
Excellent. I'll go get my friends.
Lotso
Whoa, whoa. Hold on there, boss. Those Caterpillar kids need someone to play with.
Buzz
But my friends don't belong there.
Lotso
Oh, none of us do, I agree. Which is why, for the good of our community, we ask the never toys, the stronger ones, to take on the hardships the rest of us can’t bear anymore.
Buzz
Well, I... I guess that makes sense... But I can't accept. We're a family, we stay together.
Lotso
Family man, huh? I understand. Put him back in the timeout chair.
(Big Baby grabs Buzz and carries him back to the LEGO chair.)
Buzz
What are ya- ?! Unhand me!
Lotso
Bring in the Bookworm.
(Ken whistles from afar as a light shifts around behind some books as if someone is looking for something. A green worm with glass, a purple waistcoat, white shirt and bow tie carrying a torch comes out with a white instruction manual for a Buzz Lightyear toy.)
Bookworm
*mumbling indistinctly* Ah! Here it is. It was filed under "Lightyear". *tosses it to Lotso who picks it up*
Lotso
Let's see here... Accessories, maintenance... Oh, here we go. "Remove screws to access battery compartment."
Buzz
What are you doing!? Stop! Let go of me! Ow!
(Sparks uses a screwdriver to unscrew the compartment on Buzz's back.)
Lotso
"To return your Buzz Lightyear action to its original factory settings..."
Buzz
No!
Lotso
"...slide the switch from Play to Demo."
Buzz
Stop! No. No! NOOOO!
(Twitch flips the switch in Buzz's back from Play to Demo.)
[Trans. Int. Caterpillar Room]
(The toys are sitting near the door when they hear Buzz's shout.)
Jessie
*gasp* What was that?
Hamm
Sounds like it came from the hall.
Mrs. Potato Head
I'll see what it was. *detaches her other eye and sticks it under the door so she can see into the hall*
Jessie
What do you see? Anything?
Mrs. Potato Head
No, just a dark hall and- *gasps and sees through an image of Andy in the hall vanishing shortly after* Wait, wait! I see Andy!
Jessie
What?!
Mr. Potato Head
That's impossible.
Mrs. Potato Head
No, no, I really see him. In his room. *gasps* My other eye! The one I left behind!
(It zooms into the hole in Mrs. Potato Head where her other eye should be then see Andy's room being viewed by her other eye underneath something.)
Mrs. Potato Head
*echoing offscreen* This is so weird. He's packing up. *sees Buster coming* Oh. Oh, here comes Buster! Outta the way! Get away!
(Buster moves away as she sees Andy looking into the attic as if to look for something.)
Mrs. Potato Head
*echoing* Okay, Andy's out in the hall. He's looking in the attic. Wait, there's Mom. Why is he so upset? Oh, no! Oh, this is terrible!
(It zooms back out of the hole of Mrs. Potato Head.)
Mrs. Potato Head
He's looking for us. Andy's looking for us!
Jessie
He's looking for us?
Rex
Oh, Andy does want us. I knew it, I just knew it!
Mrs. Potato Head
I think he did mean to put us in the attic.
Slinky
Well, then Woody was telling the truth.
Mr. Potato Head
Holy cow.
Hamm
And you didn't believe him.
Mr, Potato Head
Hey, you didn't believe him first!
Jessie
Guys, we gotta... we gotta go home!
(Losto and his gang arrive through the door.)
Jessie
*gasp* Lotso!
Lotso
Hey there. How are y'all doin' this fine evening?
Jessie
*sighs* Thank goodness! Have you seen Buzz?
Mrs. Potato Head
There's been a mistake, we have to go.
Lotso
Go? Why, you just got here. In the nick of time, too. We were runnin' low on volunteers for the little ones. They just love new toys now, don't they?
Mr. Potato Head
"Love"?! We've been chewed, kicked, drooled on.
Mrs. Potato Head
Just look at my pocketbook!
Lotso
Mmm... Well here's the thing, sweet potato. You ain't leavin' Sunnyside.
Mrs. Potato Head
"Sweet potato"?! Who do you think you're talking to?! I have over thirty accessories, and I deserve more respe-!
(Lotso takes her mouth out, shutting her up.)
Lotso
Ah... that's better. *his gang chuckle*
Mr. Potato Head
Hey, nobody takes my wife's mouth, except me! *reaching for it but Lotso holds it for a bit before he manages to get it* Give it back, you furry air freshener!
Jessie
Come on, guys, we're going home. *storms off*
Lotso
Whoa there, missy. You're not goin' anywhere.
Jessie
Oh, yeah? And who's gonna stop us?
(She stops by a shadowy figure, who then steps out of the shadows revealing Buzz.)
Rex
Buzz! You're back!
Buzz
Hooyah! *takes a fighting stance*
Rex
Buzz?
(Buzz knocks Rex over by kicking him then jumps on top of him and into the air to attack the others.)
Jessie
Hey!
Buzz
Aaaaaaaah!
Hamm
Look out!
(Buzz proceeds to attack the toys as Lotso and his gang watch.)
Hamm
What are you, nuts?!
Slinky
Buzz!
(Buzz picks up two aliens by the antenna and swings them around. Lotso watches with a evil grin on his face as Buzz gets on top of the toys who are piled up on one another.)
Buzz
Prisoners disabled, Commander Lotso.
Jessie
Buzz, what are you doing?
Buzz
Silence, minions of Zurg! You're the custody of the Galactic Alliance!
Rex
"Zurg"?
Mr. Potato Head
"Galactic Alliance"?
Hamm
Oh, boy.
Lotso
Good work, Lightyear. Now lock 'em up!
Buzz
Yes, sir!
(Buzz puts everyone in cubby like cages. Big Baby puts Rex in a cubby, Twitch puts Slinky in a cubby. Jessie gets dragged by Sparks and Chunk.)
Jessie
Hyah!
Chunk
Ow!
(Jessie kicks her way out of their clutches before trying to make a run for it but is grabbed by Stretch.)
Stretch
Where do you think you're going? *puts Jessie in a cubby behind Buzz*
Jessie
Buzz! We're your friends!
Buzz
Spare us your lies, temptress. Your emperor's defeated, and I'm immune to your bewitching good looks.
Mr. Potato Head
Hey, Mongo, keep your paws off my wife!
Mrs. Potato Head
*to Big Baby* Wait!
(Big Baby drops Mrs. Potato Head in the cubby and picks up Mr. Potato Head.)
Mr. Potato Head
Hey, let go of me, you drooling doofus!
Lotso
*pushes the cubby* Not him. I think this potato needs to learn himself some manners. Take him to the box.
Mr. Potato Head
Hey, put me down, you moron! Where are you taking me?! Bad baby, bad baby!
(They toddle past Barbie as she enters the room.)
Barbie
*confused* Ken? What's going on?
Ken
B-Barbie! I told you to wait in the Dream House.
Barbie
What are you doing to my friends?
(Sparks tosses an Alien into a cubby.)
Twitch
Get in there.
(Stretch slams the cubby shut.)
Barbie
Hmmph! *slaps Ken's arm away*
Ken
Barbie, wait-
Barbie
Don't touch me! We're through! *storms off*
Ken
Barbie, I didn't- oh...
(Barbie walks back up to Ken and yanks her scarf from around his neck.)
Barbie
And give me my scarf back!
Ken
Ow.
[Time-skip]
(Buzz puts Barbie in a cubby and shuts the cubby.)
Lotso
Lightyear, explain our overnight accommodations.
Buzz
Sir, yes, sir. *walks over to the captives* Prisoners sleep in their cells. Any prisoner caught outside their cell spends the night in the box.
[Trans. Ext. Playground]
(Big Baby carries Mr. Potato Head to the sandpit.)
Buzz
*voiceover* Roll call at dusk and dawn. Any prisoner who misses roll call spends the night in the box.
(Big Baby throws Mr. Potato Head in the sandpit and closes the lid.)
[Trans. Int. Caterpillar Room]
Buzz
Prisoners do not speak unless spoken to. Any prisoner who talks back spends the night-
Jessie
*interrupts* In the box, we get it.
(Irritated, Buzz walks toward her but Lotso stops him.)
Lotso
At ease, soldier. They're neutralized. *whispers* But remember, they'll say anything to make you doubt yourself.
Buzz
Don't worry, Commander. Any doubt I had got pounded out of me at the academy.
Lotso
Listen up, folks, we got a way of doin' things here at Sunnyside. If you start at the bottom, pay your dues, life here can be a dream come true. But if you break our rules, step outta line, try to... *chuckles* ...check out early, well... you're just hurtin' yourselves. *throws Woody's hat in front of the captives*
Jessie
*gasps* Woody! *to Lotso* What did you do to him?!
Lotso
You all get a good night's rest. *gets in the truck with his gang and it drives off* You got a full day of playtime tomorrow. *laughing*
(Lotso chuckles as he and his cronies drive off. Buzz remains behind, standing guard over the cell block.)
[Trans. Int. Bonnie's house]
(The toys who went with Woody are typing the address into the search engine.)
Woody
1225 Syca...
(A message appears.)
Woody
Who's Velocistar237?
Trixie
Oh! *rapidly types on the keyboard* That's just a dinosaur toy down the street, that's nothing, let me just take care of that. It's just a dinosaur.
Woody
Alright... Sycamore. Okay, enter!
(Trixie presses the enter button.)
Woody
Please don't be far. Please, please...
(A purple line shows the distance between 1225 Sycamore and 234 Elm, showing it to be just around the corner from Bonnie's house.)
Woody
Right around the corner? It's right around the corner!
Trixie
Yay!
Woody
I'm going to college! Look at me, I'm a big toy on campus! Hello! Hey, I'll see you at the sock hop.
Dolly
Okay, Potsie.
Woody
Oh, hey, listen. If any of you guys ever get to Sunnyside Daycare, you tell 'em Woody made it home.
Dolly
You came from Sunnyside?
Trixie
But... how did you all escape?
Woody
Well, it wasn't easy. I- *pauses* What do you mean escape?
Mr. Pricklepants
Sunnyside is a place of ruin and despair, ruled by an evil bear who smells of strawberries.
Woody
...Lotso?
Buttercup
The guy may seem plush and huggable on the outside, but inside, he's a monster.
Woody
But... how do you know that?
Mr. Pricklepants
Chuckles. He'll tell you.
(Everyone looks to see a clown toy named Chuckles sat on the windowsill nearby.)
Chuckles
Yeah, I knew Lotso. He was a good toy... a friend. Me and him, we had the same kid... Daisy.
(A flashback begins showing Daisy unwrapping Lotso for the first time.)
Chuckles
*voiceover* I was there when Lotso got unwrapped. Daisy loved us all. But Lotso... Lotso was special. They did everything together. You've never seen a kid and a toy more in love.
(Daisy does several things with Lotso, including sleeping with him in bed. We then view Daisy, her toys and her family having an outing together.)
Chuckles
*v.o.* One day, we took a drive. Hit a rest stop. Had a little playtime. After lunch, Daisy fell asleep.
(Daisy's parents carry her to the car. They drive off leaving Lotso, Big Baby and Chuckles alone in the field.)
Chuckles
*voiceover* She never came back. Lotso wouldn't give up. It took forever, but we finally made it back to Daisy's.
(Chuckles, Big Baby and Lotso finally reach the house. Lotso and Chuckles climb to the window and smile at Daisy, who's reading a book.)
Chuckles
*v.o.* But by then, it was too late.
( She puts it down, and to Lotso's horror, he sees that he's been replaced by another Lotso toy. He looks down sadly and so does Chuckles. Lotso climbs down and starts to walk away but then his sadness turns to anger.)
Chuckles
*v.o.* Something changed that day inside Lotso. Something snapped.
Lotso
She replaced us. Come on.
Chuckles
No, she only replaced you!
Lotso
She replaced all of us! Didn't she?!
(Big Baby starts crying and climbing up to the window but Lotso stops him.)
Lotso
She don't love you no more! *grabs his pendant with Daisy's name on it, throws it on the ground and yanks him away* Now come on!
(Chuckles watches after them in sadness. Later, the three toys are sat on the back bumper of a Pizza Planet truck as it speeds alone.)
Chuckles
*v.o.* We were lost... cast off.... unloved... unwanted...
(The truck suddenly hits a bump sending Lotso, Big Baby and Chuckles flying off the bumper and onto the ground.)
Chuckles
*v.o.* ...until we found Sunnyside.
(They look over at Sunnyside in the distance, illuminated by lightning so they can see it more clearly. Lotso gets up and walks angrily toward it as Big Baby and Chuckles look with sadness.)
Chuckles
*v.o.* But Lotso wasn't my friend anymore.
(The flashback ends.)
Chuckles
He wasn't anybody's friend. *shows Big Baby's pendant to them* He took over Sunnyside and rigged the whole system.
Woody
So... how'd you get out?
Chuckles
I got broke. Bonnie found me, took me home. Other toys, they weren't so lucky. It ain't right what Lotso done. New toys, they don't stand a chance.
Woody
But my friends are in there.
Buttercup
You can't go back.
Mr. Pricklepants
Returning now would be suicide.
Dolly
But what about your Andy?
Trixie
Isn't he leaving... for college?
[Trans. Int. Sunnyside Daycare]
(All the toys remain sad and glum in their cages. In his cage, Hamm plays a harmonica until Blade, playing along as instructed by Buzz, bangs on the bars stopping him.)
Buzz
Quiet, musical hog, knock it off!
(As Buzz moves off, Hamm sighs defeated. Bullseye looks at Woody's hat and whimpers sadly.)
Jessie
*reaches out to pat him comfortingly* Oh, Bullseye... I miss Woody too. But he ain't ever coming back.
(She picks up her boot to see Andy's name written on it and felt ashamed as though her actions has cost her Woody. She hangs her head down in sadness. Just then the door bursts open and Lotso and his gang whoop, laugh, and race in on the truck.)
Lotso
Rise and shine, campers!
Buzz
Commander Lotso, sir! *jumps down in front of him and rolls down* All quiet. Nothing to report.
Lotso
Excellent, Lightyear. Come on, we need ya back at Star Command.
Mrs. Potato Head
Wait! What have you done with my husband?
Lotso
*turns to Big Baby* Big Baby.
(Big Baby arrives and throws a sand covered Mr Potato Head on the floor.)
Mrs. Potato Head
*gasps* Sweetheart!
Mr. Potato Head
Ohh... *takes out one of his ears letting out sand* It was cold and dark. Nothing but sand and a couple of Lincoln logs.
Hamm
Uhh, I don't think those were Lincoln logs.
Lotso
You all get ready, you got a playdate with destiny.
[Trans. Int. The hallway]
(The bell went off and all the children race into the Butterfly Room.)
[Trans. Int. Butterfly Room]
(Bonnie hangs her backpack on a hanger and ran off. The zip on the backpack moves up to reveal Woody as he sneaks into it and climbs out up to the shelf. He hides when a girl run past then climb up to the rafters. He crawls along the rafters until they came to the Caterpillar Room.)
[Trans. Ext. Caterpillar Room]
(He climbs into the play castle and looks down and sees his friends getting bashed and thrown around by the toddlers. Below, a toddler bangs Rex at a bongo drum, another toddler holds a Potato Head in each hand, then smashes them to the ground, and another toddler swings Jessie, causing her to slam into a wall and drop to the floor. Just then, he hears something ringing and sees the same toy telephone. The telephone drops his phone on the floor, much to their puzzlement. He goes over and woody picks up the phone. The telephone gestures for him to speak.)
Woody
Uh, hello?
(The Telephone's voice is hoarse and grizzled.)
Chatter Telephone
You shouldn't have come back, cowboy. They've cracked down hard since you left. More guards, more patrols. You and your friends ain't ever gettin' out of here now.
Woody
I made it out once...
Chatter Telephone
You got lucky once. Want my advice? Keep your heads down. You'll survive.
Woody
Yeah, for how long?
Chatter Telephone
I've been here years. They'll never break me. There's only one way toys leave this place.
(They see a toy train being thrown into a trash chute.)
Chatter Telephone
Poor fella... Trash truck comes at dawn. Then it's off to the dump.
Woody
Look, I appreciate your concern, old-timer, but we have a kid waiting for us. Now, we're leaving. If you'd help us, one toy to another, I'd sure be grateful.
Chatter Telephone
*sighs* Well, if you're gonna get out, first thing you gotta get through's the doors.
(A fast track shows the playground door, the hall door, and the office door being shut and locked as the keys are left dangling on a hook in the office.)
Chatter Telephone
Locked every night. Inside and out. Keys are left on a hook in the office.
Woody
Got it. What else?
Chatter Telephone
Lotso has trucks patrolling all night long. Hallway, lobby, playground.
Woody
Yeah, yeah, what about the wall?
Chatter Telephone
Eight-feet high. Cinder block. No way through it. You either go over or under.
Woody
That's it? Doesn't seem too bad.
Chatter Telephone
It's not. Your real problem's the Monkey.
(The Monkey sits at the console of security monitors.)
Chatter Telephone
The Monkey's the eye in the sky. He sees everything. Classrooms...
(A bunny teddy escapes from a cubby and runs. A camera sees the bunny as the Monkey screeches an alert into a microphone. The Monkey's screeches echos on the speakers. The bunny stops in fears as Lotso and Big Baby appear to recapture it.)
Chatter Telephone
Hallways...
(A toy penguin peeks out from a plant then waddles over to the door. The Monkey saw this through a camera and screeches another alert. Toy trucks surround the penguin, making him put up his flippers in surrender and look up in fear at Big Baby who recaptures it.)
Chatter Telephone
Even the playground.
(Three toys, a rag doll, a dinosaur toy and a toy robot uses a toy gun with a suction cup on the end to climb the wall but the Monkey sees them and alerts Twitch to their location and shone his torch on them. Big Baby's shadow creeps up the wall as he recaptures them. We cut back to Chatter and Woody.)
Chatter Telephone
You can unlock doors, sneak past guards, climb the wall, but if you don't take out that monkey, you ain't goin' nowhere. You wanna get outta here? Get rid of that monkey!
(The bell goes off as the toddlers exit the Caterpillar Room.)
Teacher
Recess! Come on, kids!
(She opens the playground door as the toddlers drop the toys and run outside. Jessie and the Toys sit up, groaning and aching.)
Woody
Pssst! Psst! *pokes his head out from the play castle* Hey, guys.
Jessie
Woody?
Rex
Woody! *laughs*
Jessie
Woody!
(They rush into the play castle and hug Woody with relief and happiness.)
Hamm
Hey, hey, hey, buddy!
Mrs. Potato Head
Thank goodness!
Slinky
You're alive!
Woody
Of course I'm alive!
(Bullseye appears and gives Woody his hat.)
Woody
Hey, my hat! *pause* Wait, where's Buzz?
Rex
Lotso did something to him!
Slinky
He thinks he's a real Space Ranger again.
Woody
Oh, no.
Hamm
Oh, yes. Return of the astro-nut.
Jessie
Oh, Woody, we were wrong to leave Andy. I-I was wrong.
Mr. Potato Head
Jessie's right, Woody. She was wrong.
Woody
No, no, it's my fault for leaving you guys. From now on, we stick together.
Slinky
But Andy's leaving for college.
Jessie
College?! Hogtie the mailman! We gotta get you home before Andy leaves tomorrow!
Hamm
Tomorrow? But that means...
Woody
It means we're busting out of here, tonight.
Mrs. Potato Head
What? Impossible!
Rex
There's no way out of here!
Woody
No, there is one way out. *opens the curtain and reveals the trash chute* One way.
(Through the window is the trash chute on the maintenance shed.)
Woody
Okay, here's what we're gonna do...
(All the toys huddle up and listen.)
[Trans. Ext. The playground]
(Twitch uses the search light as Chatter said beforehand. Ken and Buzz are doing roll call.)
Ken
Springy dog.
Slinky
Present.
Ken
Green guys.
(The LGMs squeak in reply.)
Ken
Cowgirl.
Jessie
Here.
Ken
Horse.
Bullseye
*whinnies*
[Trans. Int. Caterpillar Room]
Ken
Piggy bank.
Hamm
Yo.
Ken
Tyrannosaurus.
Rex
Here.
Ken
Barbie.
Barbie
Here.
(Woody watches from the rafters above.)
Ken
Potato Head... Potato head?
(Buzz looks at what seems to be Mr. Potato Head fast asleep in his cubby.)
Buzz
Hey, hey, tuberous root-man, wake up!
(The actual potato rolls forward in front of a shocked Buzz.)
Buzz
*gasp* Impossible! *sees Mr. Potato Head fiddling with the lock on the window* Hey!
(Mr. Potato Head gasps and runs away, as Buzz, Ken and Big Baby follow him in hot pursuit. Woody uses a plastic straw to lift the clothes line with paintings on it up. Mr. Potato Head pounds on the door but it's no good. In the office, the Monkey watches with confusion at the scene.)
Ken
A little late for a stroll, eh, Potato Head?
Mr. Potato Head
That's Mr. Potato Head to you, smoothie.
Ken
Well, well, well. You’re turning out to be quite the troublemaker, aren't you?
(The Monkey is busy watching the conversation that he doesn't notice Slinky sneaking out of their cubbies.)
Ken
What did you think you were gonna do? Waltz right out of here?
Mr. Potato Head
Yeah, and I would've got away with it too, if it weren't for you meddling toys.
(Woody uses a bag of marbles to make himself heavier and low him down to the ground, holding onto the line. Woody then grabs Slinky, and lifts them up to the rafters unnoticed.)
Mr. Potato Head
You ascot-wearing pink-noser! You're not a toy! You're an accessory! You're a purse with legs. *kicks Ken in the knee*
Ken
Ow! Take him back to the box!
(Big Baby grabs him and carries him off.)
Mr. Potato Head
No, no, not the box! I'm sorry. I didn't mean it! I like ascots. Really. No, no, nooo!
(Woody and Slinky watch as Potato Head is dragged off.
Woody
*closes the ceiling panel* Okay, check.
Ken
Good work, Lightyear. All right, resume your, uh, space guy thingy.
Buzz
Yes, sir, well groomed man.
(Buzz walks off, as Ken turns to walk away then stops.)
Barbie
Ken! Ken?
(Ken walks over to Barbie's cubby where he finds her sobbing.)
Ken
What do you want?
Barbie
I can't take it here, Ken, I wanna go to the Butterfly Room with you!
Ken
Yeah, well you should've thought of that yesterday.
Barbie
I was wrong. I wanna be with you, Ken, I do in your Dream House. *sobbing* Please take me away from this! Take me away!
Ken
Darn it, Barbie! Okay, things are complicated around here. You gotta do what I say.
Barbie
I will, Ken. I promise.
(Ken frees Barbie from her cubby.)
[Trans. Ext. Playground]
Mr. Potato Head
Wait. I'll do anything! I-I'll... I'll change your diapers! Wuh!
(Big Baby throws Mr Potato Head in the sand pit before shutting the lid and walking off. Unbeknownst to him, Mr Potato Head pushes a small bit of wood loose, uses his eye to check if the coast is clear then throws all his parts onto the ground.)
[Trans. Int. Office]
(The Monkey is still watching the cameras but fails to notice Woody and Slinky dangling behind him from the rafters with Woody holding a bag to use to capture the Monkey. Slinky swings them back and forth to get closer but the Monkey furiously turns around and screeches, startling them.)
Monkey
*screeches*
Woody
AAAAHH!!!!
(Slinky's back end slips and they crash into the Monkey, knocking the microphone onto the floor in the process. The Monkey hisses at Woody, then starts running toward the microphone. Woody uses the wire of the microphone to lasso the Monkey's foot, causing him to fall over. Woody, battle the Monkey until he pins them down with his feet while bashing Woody's face with his cymbals several times.)
Woody
Go. Get. The. Tape!
(Slinky then grabs the tape and run toward the Monkey who turns and sees them glaring at him while running and screeches again.)
[Trans. Int. Ken's Dream House]
(Meanwhile, Ken and Barbie arrive in the Dream House via lift.)
Ken
And this... is where the magic happens.
(Ken turns on the light revealing dozens of outfits.)
Barbie
*gasps* Look at all your clothes! I can’t believe you never brought me up here! Tennis whites?
Ken
*interrupts* I know, I know, I know.
Barbie
Mission to Mars!
Ken
Check this out! Kung fu fighting. Campus hero with matching sports pennant, huh?
Barbie
*gasps* Flower power! Oh, Ken!
Ken
*sighs, then turns away* No one appreciates clothes here, Barbie. No one.
Barbie
Ken, would you model a few outfits for me? Just a few?
(Ken seems to be brighten up at Barbie asking him this.)
[Time-skip]
(As "Le Freak" plays in the background, Ken is dressed up in a red sparkle outfit which is then followed by white clothing.)
Barbie
*giggles* Rarr.
(Ken in then in a yellow shirt with black overalls, then a cowboy outfit. He changes into a cool due outfit with glasses, another cowboy outfit, an astronaut space suit, a white and black coat with fur linings, a blue suit with a white spot with colourful stars on it, some swimming trunks and a snorkel and the flower power outfit as he strike a pose.)
[Trans. Int. Office]
(Woody and Slinky wrapped the Monkey made of tape. Woody pushes the Monkey into a drawer and Slinky pushes it shut.)
Slinky
*whispers* Go get the key.
Woody
Where is it, where is it? Where's the key, where's the key? *spots the key* Bingo!
(Slinky moves the stick to control the camera in the Caterpillar in order to signal to the others.)
[Trans. Int. Caterpillar Room]
(Jessie sees this and yodels to Rex and Hamm.)
Jessie
Yodel-ay-hee-hoo!
Hamm
Hey, what do you think you're doing?! I told you, keep your hands off of my stuff!
Rex
Make a move, Porky!
(Hamm charges at Rex as they start fighting. Buzz turns to see Rex and Hamm fighting and runs over to them.)
Buzz
Hey, hey, hey! No fighting! Break it up!
(Buzz yanks the cubby out and it falls over sending Hamm and Rex flying.)
Buzz
Hey, hey!
Hamm
Take that, walnut-brain. No wonder you're extinct!
(Jessie uses her feet to kick her cubby open. Rex and Hamm continue to fight as Buzz tried to break them up.)
Buzz
Hey, you can't hit each other, that's my job!
Jessie
*offscreen* Yoo-hoo!
(Buzz looks up and sees Jessie, Bullseye and the others with a large see-through container on top of a cupboard.)
Buzz
Wha-!?
(They jump and use the container to trap Buzz.)
Buzz
Help! Prison riot!
(Buzz aims his laser at the wall and tries to use it to cut a hole, not realizing it's just a light bulb. He runs at the wall but smacks right into it and falls over.)
Jessie
Get the tortilla.
(Bullseye runs over to some nearby shelves and takes a lunchbox off one of them. Jessie opens it and takes out a tortilla. She skimmed it under the door, knocks on the door and runs away.)
[Trans. Ext. Playground]
(Mr. Potato Head's arm retrieve the tortilla and pulled into a structure before all his parts stuck themselves to it one by one until Mr. Potato Head has become... Mr. Tortilla Head. He crawls along before standing up. He look around til he sees the Butterfly room and walks over to it.)
[Trans. Int. Ken's Dream House]
Ken
Ready?
Barbie
Ready.
(Ken jumps out in a karate outfit and does some karate moves while yelling. He stops and notices Barbie is gone.)
Ken
...Uh, Barbie?
(Barbie pounces on him from behind, pins him down then turns his head to face her.)
Barbie
No more games, Ken! What did Lotso do to Buzz, and how did we switch him back?
Ken
You can't make me talk! You can't!
(Barbie glares at him while furiously gritting her teeth.)
Ken
But I'd like to see ya try...
[Trans. Int. Hallway]
(A toy truck rolls through the hallway. Woody peeks out through the gap underneath the door of the office to watch it gone then shuts it. Slinky uses rubber bands as a slingshot to send the key into the Caterpillar room and when Woody gives the signal, he lets go of the slingshot and the key slips through the hallway into the Caterpillar room where Jessie picks it up.)
[Trans. Ext. Playground]
(Mr. Tortilla Head wobbly walks over to the window and climbs up a tricycle to get to it. He looks inside and saw Lotso fast asleep in an armchair, snoring. Mr. Tortilla Head creeps over to the tricycle and uses it's mirror to reflect the moonlight so he can signal to Mrs. Potato Head who uses the key to unlock the door to the playground and creeps outside with Jessie, Bullseye, and the Little Green Men. As they walk through the darkness, they quickly duck behind a cone as Twitch aimed his search light in their direction.)
[Trans. Int. Ken's Dream House]
Barbie
Let's see... Hawaiian Surf Trunks. *rips them in half*
(Barbie throws them to the ground next to Ken who is naked and tied to a paddle with string which has a ball.)
Ken
Oh! Barbie, those were vintage! It's okay. All right, go ahead, rip 'em, I don’t care. They're a dime a dozen.
Barbie
Ooh, glitter tux. *rips them in half and throws them in front of Ken*
Ken
*trying to keep calm* Who cares, who cares? Sequins are tacky. Who cares?
Barbie
Oh! A Nehru jacket.
Ken
*gasp* Barbie, not the Nehru.
Barbie
This is from what, 1967?
Ken
The groovy formal collection, yes!
Barbie
What a shame. *begins to rip the jacket*
Ken
Oh, no, no, no! NO! There's an instruction manual! *screams then falls down* Lotso switched Buzz to Demo mode! *starts sobbing*
Barbie
Where's that manual?
[Trans. Int. Utility closet]
(Barbie is disguised in Ken's Astronaut Outfit and in the library as the Bookworm approaches with the manual.)
Bookworm
*sighs* I don't know why this couldn't wait until morning, Ken, but... here ya go. *gives Barbie the manual*
(Barbie takes it and salutes before heading off. The Bookworm turns to go then stops and looks at Barbie's shoes.)
Bookworm
...Yeesh.
[Trans. Ext. Ceiling Crawl]
Slinky
What's taking so doggone long?
(A knock is heard and Woody lifts a piece of ceiling to let Barbie in. She takes off her helmet.)
Woody
So how do we fix Buzz?
(Barbie shows them the manual. Down below outside, Mr. Tortilla Head watches Woody pull Barbie into the rafters. He signals to Woody and gestures to Lotso, indicating the coast is clear. Woody gives a thumbs up then closes the piece of ceiling.)
[Trans. Ext. Playground]
(Mr. Tortilla Head shuffles along the window when the shadow of a pigeon passes over him, causing him to gasp. He stops and sees a pigeon beside him looking at him.)
Mr. Tortilla Head
What are you looking at, feathers?
(The pigeon approaches him then pecks at him twice before he hits it and scares it off.)
Mr. Tortilla Head
Hey! Ow! *grunts then yells* Yeah, fly away you coward. *starts to fall apart* Uh-oh.
(He falls to the ground in pieces.)
Mr. Tortilla Head
Well, that's just great.
(One tortilla piece with an eye, arm and leg attached sits up. Seeing something, it taps the other which sits up to. They look at some nearby cucumbers and get an idea.)
[Trans. Int. Caterpillar Room]
(Buzz is still trying to get out of the container he's trapped in.)
Buzz
Help! Prison riot! Mayday! Mayday!
Hamm
Oh, give it up, no one can hear ya.
Buzz
What?
Hamm
I said, no one can hear you.
Buzz
What?!
Rex
*loudly* He said, no one can-
Hamm
Shush! Will you be quiet?
(Woody, Barbie, and Slinky climb down from the rafters.)
Rex
Woody, you're back!
(Buzz sees that they are distracted and uses this to his advantage. He kicks the container from over him, knocking Hamm, and Rex off it onto the floor. He then makes a run for it which Woody notices.)
Woody
Stop him! Don't let him get out!
Buzz
*opens his wrist communicator* Star Command, I've been taken hostage by my own prisoners!
(Hamm and Rex pounce on him and pin him to the ground, as the others hurry over.)
Woody
Quick, open his back, there's a switch!
Buzz
Unhand me, Zurg scum! The Galactic Courts will show you no mercy.
(Woody opens Buzz's battery compartment in his back. He pushes it to the Play side several times but nothing happens.)
Woody
It's not working. Why is it not working? Where's the manual?
Hamm
Here we go! There should be a little hole under the switch.
Woody
Little hole, got it!
Hamm
"To reset your Buzz Lightyear, insert paperclip..."
Woody
Rex, use your finger!
Rex
Wah! *sticks his finger in the hole*
Woody
Okay, now what?
Hamm
Uhh, all right, let's see... "Caution: Do not hold button for more than five seconds."
(Buzz then beeps, spins his head, freezes his head, then passes out. Rex removes his finger and looks sheepish.)
Rex
It's not my fault.
(Alternately, Buzz springs up, pushing everyone away with his wings and striking a Spanish dance pose. He then retracts his wings, flamenco dances forward then opens his wrist communicator then talks into it, in Spanish.)
Spanish Buzz
Bitácora espacial... Me he despertado del hiper-sueño en un planeta extraño.
(Barbie and Slinky look at each other in shock.)
Hamm
Now what did you do?
Rex
I just did what you told me!
Spanish Buzz
Estoy rodeado por criaturas extrañas y desconozco sus intenciones. *jumps and aims his laser at Woody's forehead* ¿Quién andá ahí? ¿Amigo? O enemigo?
Woody
Uh... amigos! We're all amigos.
(Spanish Buzz turns off his laser.)
Spanish Buzz
Me debo de haber extraviado y se me ha borrado la memoria. *kisses Woody on each cheek and taps him* ¿Han visto mi nave espacial?
Woody
We gotta switch him back.
Slinky
Well, how do we do that?
Hamm
I don't know, that part's in Spanish.
(They hear the siren of a toy truck passing through the hallway outside the room.)
Woody
We don't have time for this. Come on, El Buzzo. *grabs Spanish Buzz's wrist*
Spanish Buzz
¿Mi nave? ¿La encontraste? ¡Excelente!
(As the toys run away, Chatter Telephone watches with an impressed look on his face.)
Chatter Telephone
Good luck, cowboy.
[Trans. Ext. Playground]
(Twitch continues to use his searchlight. Unbeknownst to him, Jessie, Mrs. Potato Head, the Aliens, and Bullseye are hiding and waiting for the others when Mrs. Potato Head sees them coming.)
Mrs Potato Head
*gasps* Here they come.
(As the others run on, Buzz continuously points his laser in various directions before Woody grabs him and drags him behind him.)
Woody
Come on, Buzz. *pulls him over to the climbing frame*
Jessie
What took you so long?
Woody
Things got complicated. Where's Potato Head?
Jessie
We haven't seen him.
Spanish Buzz
*spots Jessie* Huh!
Jessie
Buzz...
(Buzz clearly love struck upon seeing Jessie, falls to his knees and grabs her hand.)
Spanish Buzz
¡Mi florecilla del desierto! ¡Yo nunca había visto la verdadera belleza hasta esta noche!
Jessie
Did you fix Buzz?
Hamm
Uh, sort of.
Mrs. Potato Head
*gasps* Behind you. Someone's coming.
(Buzz pushes Jessie back against a wall as a tall shadowy figure approaches. The figure is revealed to be Mr. Potato Head who has turned into Mr. Cucumber Head.)
Mr. Cucumber Head
You would not believe what I've been through tonight.
Mrs. Potato Head
Darling! Are you okay?
Mr. Cucumber Head
I feel fresh, healthy. It's terrible.
Mrs. Potato Head
You've lost weight... and so tall.
(Then, Bullseye rolls Mr. Potato Head's real body over to him.)
Mr. Cucumber Head
Ah, you're a sight for detachable eyes.
(He sticks his eyes on his real body. Slinky slides down the slide and looks around. He wags his tail to tell them the coast is clear.)
Woody
All clear.
(The toys slide down the slide and sneak their way across the playground to one of the string rides.)
Woody
Come on, come on.
Jessie
We're almost there.
(Jessie and the toys make it to the bushes, the Aliens, Woody and Bullseye stop when they hear a toy truck coming their way.)
Woody
*gasps* Back up, back up!
(They hurry back to the spring rides and hide as the truck pulls up and stops. Woody mouths and gestures to her to keep going as Jessie thumbs up and nodded before disappearing into the bushes.)
Woody
Come on.
(Jessie peeks out of the bushes. Soon, Woody, Bullseye and the Aliens are sneaking by the swings when Woody notices Big Baby staring up at the night sky on one of the swings. Woody, Bullseye and the Aliens sneak by unnoticed and jump off the land, though one of the aliens falls off Bullseye's back and squeaks upon hitting the ground as he jumps. This catches Big Baby's attention and he turns his head around. Woody, Bullseye and the Aliens are hiding beneath the beams around the ground the swings are on. Jessie gasps as Big Baby proceeds to climb down from the swing and approach the edge but as he peaks over, he sees there's nothing there and toddles off. Once he's gone, Woody, Bullseye and the Aliens peek out from a bucket they'd been hiding under, very relieved they weren't spotted. Jessie sighs with relief just then. Buzz grabs her and yanks next to him before performing a series of complex Spanish dance moves much to the confusion of the toys. He swings Jessie from side to side then holds her in a proposal like way.)
Spanish Buzz
¡Venga conmigo, Señorita! ¡Le enseñaré las maravillas de la galaxia, y juntos con nuestro amor venceremos al mal!
(Jessie looks very flattered. Woody, Bullseye and the Aliens arrive much to Jessie's relief.)
Jessie
Woody! *frees herself from Buzz's grasp and runs over to Woody to hug him*
Woody
Come on, we're almost there.
Spanish Buzz
¡El vaquero!
(All the toys run up to the trash chute. Woody tried to reach it by jumping but thinks it's no good.)
Woody
*grunting* Buzz, come here. Give me a lift.
(But instead of giving Woody a lift as instructed, Buzz pushes past him. He then presses a button on his chest.)
Spanish Buzz
*voice box* ¡Buzz Lightyear al rescate!
(Buzz uses a broom to reach the hatch, sticks his feet in the handle and it opens.)
Spanish Buzz
Abierto.
Woody
Oh, way to go, Buzz, come on.
[Time-skip]
(They climb up to the chute.)
Jessie
Is it safe?
Woody
I guess I'll find out...
(Woody then slides down the shoot but stop just in time before he goes over the edge.)
Jessie
Woody, are you okay?
Woody
Yeah. Come on down, but not all at once.
Mr. Potato Head
*o.s.* What did he say?
Hamm
*o.s.* I think he said all at once.
Woody
No. No. No, no, no, no, no!
Rex
Geronimo!
Hamm
Look out!
(The toys collide with Woody causing him to teeter on the edge but Jessie yanks him back up just in time.)
Woody

Thanks, Jess.

Spanish Buzz

¿Dónde está mi nave?
Woody
Almost there, guys. Slink, you think you can make it?
Slinky
Well, I might be old, but I still got a spring in my step.
(Slinky stretches across the open gap in the dumpster.)
Rex
He did it!
Hamm
All right, Slinkykins.
Slinky
Okay, climb across-
(Just then, Lotso shows up, much to their shock.)
Lotso
...You lost, little doggie?
(Slinky gasps in shock.)
Lotso
*pushes Slinky back to the others* Well, well. Look who's back.
(Stretch appears behind the toys. Lotso gestures to Twitch and Sparks who bring Chatter forward, beaten and dirty.)
Chatter Telephone
I'm sorry, cowboy... (Woody gasps.) They broke me.
Lotso
What are y'all doing, running back to your kid? He don't want you no more.
Woody
*snarky* That's a lie.
Lotso
Is it? Tell me this, Sheriff. If your kid loves you so much, why is he leaving? You think you're special, cowboy? You're a piece of plastic. You were made to be thrown away!
(They hear a truck horn in the distance.)
Lotso
Speak of the devil.
(He walked to the edge of the dumpster and looked to see a garbage truck nearby. Jessie gasps, horrified.)
Lotso
Now, we need toys in our Caterpillar Room and you need to avoid that truck. Why don't you come on back, join our family again?
Jessie
This isn't a family! It's a prison! You're a liar and a bully! And I'd rather rot in this dumpster than join any family of yours!
Barbie
Jessie's right! Authority should derive from the consent of the governed, not from the threat of force.
(Mr Potato Head and Hamm look at each other and shrug.)
Lotso
If that's what you want...
(Lotso bangs his cane and Stretch starts to push all the toys toward the edge. Just then, Ken runs up and she stops.)
Ken
BARBIE! WAIT! Don't do this, Lotso!
Lotso
She's a Barbie doll, Ken. There's a hundred million just like her.
(Ken forcefully turns to Barbie.)
Ken
Not to me, there's not.
Barbie
Oh!
Lotso
Fine! Then why do you join her!
(Lotso pushes Ken over to the toys and Barbie pulls him up before he falls into the dumpster.)
Barbie
*hugs him* Oh, Ken!
Ken
Everyone, listen! Sunnyside could be cool and groovy if we treated each other fair. It's Lotso! He's made us into a pyramid, and he put himself on top!
Lotso
Anyone concur with Ken?
(Sparks and Twitch look at each other, unsure.)
Lotso
I didn't throw you away. Your kid did! Ain't one kid ever loved a toy, really. Chew on that when you're at the dump.
Woody
Wait! What about Daisy?
(Lotso pauses, then turns to Woody.)
Lotso
...I don't know what you're talking about.
Woody
Daisy? You used to do everything with her?
Lotso
Yeah, then she threw us out.
Woody
No. She lost you.
Lotso
She replaced us!
Woody
She replaced YOU! And if you couldn't have her then no one could! You lied to Big Baby and you've been lying ever since! *shows Big Baby's pendant with Daisy's name on it*
(Big Baby sees the pendant and whimpers from sadness.)
Lotso
*sees the nametag and is stunned with anger* Where'd you get that?
Woody
She loved you, Lotso...
Lotso
She never loved me.
Woody
...as much as any kid ever loved a toy.
(Woody angrily throws the pendant to the other side and Big Baby picks it up, looking as if he is about to cry.)
Big Baby
Mama...?
Lotso
WHAT?! You want your mommy back? She never loved you! DON'T BE SUCH A BABY!!!
(Lotso uses his cane to smash the pendant much to Big Baby's sadness as Big Baby starts crying.)
Lotso
Push 'em in! All of 'em!
(Stretch starts to do so reluctantly.)
Lotso
This is what happens when you dummies try to think! We're all just trash, waitin' to be thrown away! That's all a toy is!
(Just then, Big Baby picks him up and carries him to the open part of the dumpster.)
Lotso
Hey, stop it! Put me down, you idiot!! AAAAH!!!
(Big Baby throws Lotso into the dumpster and starts to close the lid.)
Lotso
No! No! Wait a minute! Big Baby, wait!
(Big Baby closes the lid fully as everyone looks on in shock.)
Rex
He's gone.
Mr. Potato Head
Holy cow.
(Big Baby blows raspberry at the toys, but the rubbish truck gets closer.)
Woody
Come on, hurry!
(The toys start to run across the dumpster but Woody stops when he hears a squeaking noise. He turns and sees one of the Aliens has got its foot stuck in one of the lids.)
Woody
Oh, for crying out loud!
Spanish Buzz
¡Vamos, vaquero!
(Woody runs back to the alien that got it's foot caught and lift the lid so it can get up and run to safety with the other two. But as Woody started to follow, Lotso's paw grabbed his leg and began to start pulling him in.)
Jessie
Woody!
(Lotso drags Woody into the bin. Just then, the bin truck arrives.)
Hamm
Oh, boy... Incoming!
(The bin truck uses it's forks to lift the dumpster to it's trailer.)
Jessie
Come on!
(The toys jump onto the dumpster.)
Ken
Barbie, no!
(Jessie tries to open the lid but it's too heavy. Just then, the lids open and all the rubbish pours into the trailer, including Woody.)
Jessie
Woody!
(Suddenly, the forks stop, jotting the toys into the trailer too.)
Barbie
NO!
(The truck puts the bin down and drives off as Barbie and Ken look on in horror.)
[Trans. Int. Bin truck]
(All the toys groan and cough.)
Woody
Can you hear me? Is everyone okay?
Mr. Potato Head
Of course not, you imbecile! We're doomed!
(Woody pops up as he sees Buzz lighting his suit up.)
Woody
Everyone, go to Buzz! Come on! We all here? Slinky? Rex?
(Just then, the truck stops, making them fall over and they look up to see more rubbish being poured into the trailer.)
Woody
Against the wall, everybody. Quick!
Spanish Buzz
¡Señorita! ¡Señorita! ¡¿Dónde estás?!
Jessie
*o.s.* BUZZ!
Spanish Buzz
¡Señorita!
(Buzz scurries up the growing trash pile and pulls Jessie out of it.)
Hamm
They'll never make it!
(Buzz picks up Jessie bridal style and runs carrying her. She smiles at him and he smiles back.)
Mrs. Potato Head
Look out!
(Buzz looks up to see a TV falling toward him and Jessie. Fearing Jessie's safety, Buzz throws her out of the way just as the TV falls on top of him.)
Jessie
Buzz!
(She and the toys run over to the TV and lifts it off the ground.)
Woody
Anyone see him?
Slinky
Over here, y'all, I found him!
(The toys pull Buzz out of the TV and lay his unconscious body down.)
Jessie
Buzz, you okay? *opens his helmet and shakes him* Buzz!! Buzz! *sobs*
(Jessie sobs over the loss of her friend or crush. It seems like all hope is lost, Buzz suddenly wakes up and sniffs his surroundings.)
Buzz
*sniffs silently* ... That wasn't me, was it?
Jessie
Oh, Buzz, you're back! You're back, you're back, you're back, you're back!
Buzz
Yes, I'm back. Where have I been?
Woody
Beyond infinity, Space Ranger.
Buzz
Woody! So where are we now?
Rex
In a garbage truck on the way to the dump!
(Buzz looks troubled by this. The bin truck arrives at the dump. Then it raises is trailer and pours out all the rubbish it collected including the toys.)
Woody
Hold on, we're going in!
(The toys begin screaming as they fall into the piles of trash. Woody stands up and look at the surrounding area. The toys pick themselves up coughing.)
Mr. Potato Head
You got all your pieces?
Aliens
The claw! *run off towards the crane*
Mrs. Potato Head
MY BABIES!! *runs off after them*
Woody
Hey, guys, no! No! NOOOO!
(Then a bulldozer pushes the Aliens away along with a lot of rubbish. The toys look back to see another bulldozer heading their way. The toys got scooped up in the rubbish the bulldozer was pushing.)
Woody
Hang on!
(The bulldozer pushed them into a conveyor belt which brings them inside.)
Toys
*groaning*
Woody
*coughs*
Mrs. Potato Head
Woody, what do we do?!
Woody
We'll be okay if we stay togeth-
(Just then however, Slinky who were made of metal were pulled onto the ceiling.)
Slinky
Woody!
Woody
SLINKY!
(A variety of metal pieces began rising to the ceiling and sticking to it.)
Jessie
It's a magnet! Watch out!
Woody
Don't worry, Slink, we'll get you down!
Slinky
Uhhh... you might wanna take a look at this.
(Up ahead, two shredders chop up the non-metal materials.)
Buzz
Quick, grab something metal!!
(Buzz grabs a metal box and hoisted up to the ceiling. Woody grabbed a doorknob and the same thing happened. Jessie grab a watch and hoisted up too.)
Hamm
You heard the guy!
(Hamm gets into a saucepan and hoisted up. Bullseye got a horseshoe and the Potato Heads got a cheese grater and hoisted up too. Rex pick up random trash but none of them are metal.)
Rex
It's not working!
(Rex grabs a fan and was hoisted up to the ceiling too. Then just as they were about to pass safely over the shredders, they heard someone calling for help. Woody looks down to see Lotso stuck under a bag in the trash below.)
Lotso
HELP! Help me! I'm stuck! Help, please! Help!
(Seeing that they're almost over the shredders, Woody thinks quickly and lets go of the doorknob.)
Jessie
Woody!
(Woody runs over to Lotso and tries to push the bag.)
Lotso
Thank you!
Woody
Don't thank me yet!
(Woody continues to try and gets Lotso free as they get closer to the shredders. Buzz lets go of his metal box and helps Woody to lift the bag. Jessie looks at the shredders getting closer by the second.)
Jessie
Woody!
(Woody sees a golf club being tugged in the bag by the magnet and got an idea. He pulls it out but the force starts to drag him until Buzz grabs it and helps Woody to use it as a crowbar to lift the bag to free Lotso as they get closer to the shredder.)
Woody
Go, go!!
(Lotso crawls out from under the bag and Woody grab his paw and the magnet lifts him, Buzz and Lotso up to the magnet and over the shredders just in time.)
Lotso
Thank you, Sheriff.
Woody
We're all in this together. Right, guys? *sees that the others are gone* Guys?!
Jessie
Woody! Down here!
(Lotso, Woody and Buzz drop down onto the trash with the others.)
Jessie
Woody!
Hamm
Oh, boy.
Slinky
Hahaha, heh...
Rex
Woody, look! I can see daylight! We're gonna be okay!
Woody
Hahaha!
Hamm
Hey!
(Woody notices he forgets something.)
Woody
I don't think that's daylight..
(The camera zooms out of the tunnel to see a burning furnace with trash sliding into it to be melted down.)
Woody
RUUUUNNN!!!
(The toys start running but it's no good with the conveyor belt continuing to move leaving them running in one place. Lotso trips on a piece of trash then looks up to see a big red button up above. Thinking it could stop the conveyor belt from moving, he runs to the steps and grab the bottom one with his paw. He struggles to put his other paw on the step.)
Lotso
Sheriff! The button! Help me!
Woody
Come on!
(Woody and Buzz run to Lotso and boost him up the steps.)
Woody
Go, go! Hit the button!
(Lotso climbs up to the button, Woody and Buzz rejoin the others in running. Woody sees he and the others are getting closer to the furnace by the minute.)
Woody
*gasps* Hurry!
(Lotso reaches the button but as he look down at the toys, he glares at them, revealing that he's still evil.)
Woody
JUST PUSH IT!! PUSH IT!!
Buzz
PUSH IT!!
Lotso
*with a evil grin* Where's your kid now, sheriff?!
(He runs off, leaving the toys for dead.)
Woody
No...! NOOOOO!!!
Buzz
LOTSO!!!
(The toys get flung backward into the trash surrounding the furnace.)
Woody
NOOOOOO!!!
(They land in the trash and slowly start descending toward the furnace. They tried to climb back up but it is no good. Rex started to slip.)
Rex
AAAH!
Woody
Rex!
(Woody and Rex both slip down further toward the furnace.)
Jessie
Buzz!! What do we do?!
(Buzz stays silent then took Jessie's hand in his own. Jessie looks at him with a sad look and Buzz returns it as to say that they love each other. Jessie nods and puts a hand on Bullseye's hoof. Slinky reach his paw out to Hamm who took it in his hoof and reach out to Rex who took his hoof in his hand. The Potato Heads took each other's hands in their own and Mr. Potato Head took Rex's hand in his free one and give him a solemn nod. Woody is still trying to climb out when he saw everyone holding hands and look at Buzz who reach out a hand to him. Realizing that there's no way out, Woody reach out and took Buzz's hand. The two friends look at each other grimly, knowing that their end is near. Woody put his other hand onto Slinky's free paw and they prepare to meet their doom at the hands of the furnace The toys close their eyes and prepare themselves for the worst even Woody when blue light shines down on them. Woody look up to see the claw of a crane lower down toward them and grabbed a bunch of trash with them in it. It lifts them up and away from the furnace. The toys look to see the Aliens in the crane's cockpit, using the controls to move the claw.)
Aliens
The claaaaaaaaww!
(The aliens move two joysticks to the left and the claw moves. Woody smiles with relief at the Aliens saving them from certain death. The claw carries the trash with the toys in it and lowers them down before releasing them onto the ground outside in a heap.)
Toys
*groaning*
Rex
*sighs in relief*
Mr. Potato Head
You know all that bad stuff I said about Andy’s attic? I take it all back.
Slinky
You're darn tootin'.
Hamm
You said it.
(Buzz and Jessie sit up and saw that they're still holding hands. They smile at each other.)
Mrs. Potato Head
Oh, darling. You were so brave.
(The Aliens walk over to Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head.)
Mrs. Potato Head
You saved our lives.
Mr. Potato Head
And we are eternally grateful. (The Aliens look at each other in surprise.) My boys. *hugs the Aliens*
Aliens
Daddy.
Hamm
Hey, where's that furball Lotso?
Slinky
Yeah, I'd like to loosen his stitchin'.
Woody
Forget it, guys. He's not worth it.
(Meanwhile, Lotso emerges from behind a pile of garbage. Seeing the coast is clear, he tries to sneak off but hears a garbage truck approaching and freezes as it pulls up.)
Garbage Man 1
Hey!
Garbage Man 2
What you got?
Garbage Man 1
I had me one of these when I was a kid. *picks Lotso up and smells him* Strawberries.
(Soon, Lotso finds himself tied to the front of the truck with a few other toys as it drives on.)
Lotso
*whimpering*
Frog
Hey, buddy! You might wanna keep your mouth shut.
Garbage Toys
*laughing*
(The truck rolls off, passing the toys.)
Jessie
Come on, Woody. We gotta get you home.
Buzz
That's right, college boy.
Woody
Wait. What about you guys? I mean, maybe the attic's not such a great idea.
Jessie
We're Andy's toys, Woody.
Buzz
We'll be there for him... together.
Woody
I just hope he hasn't left yet.
Mrs. Potato Head
Wait a minute! Wait, I'll check! *covers her right eye* Andy's still packing! *gasps* But he's almost done!
Hamm
He lives half way across town.
Rex
We'll never get there in time!
(Sid hums guitar riffs offscreen as the toys look to see the same garbage truck from the day they arrived at Sunnyside and Sid humming some guitar music before getting in it. Woody, Jessie and Buzz look at each other with delight, indicating that they've found a ride back home.)
[Trans. Int. Andy's house]
(Andy is putting things in his car outside the house and struggles to close the boot.)
Molly
Come on, Buster!
Mrs. Davis
Is that it, honey? You got everything?
Andy
Yeah, just a few more boxes in my room.
Woody
Okay, come on.
(The toys immediately went to the backyard and clean themselves off with the garden hose.)
Hamm
That's enough, that's enough, that's enough!
Woody
All right, go, go, go!
(Slinky stretches up to the roof and the toys walk along it to Andy's bedroom window. Buzz and Woody look inside to see if the coast is clear.)
Buzz
Okay. All clear.
(The toys climb through the window into the bedroom one at a time and down to the ground towards the attic box.)
Mrs. Potato Head
Oh!
(She covers her right eye and we zoom into her left eye socket again to see Mrs. Potato Head's other eye viewing her from behind. She turns and sees it then grabs it.)
Mrs. Potato Head
Oh, there you are.
(Mrs. Potato Head puts it back in it's rightful socket and laughs happily. The toys help one another into the attic box. Woody looks up at the box marked College on the desktop then back at Buzz who is helping an alien into the attic box.)
Buzz
There you go.
Woody
Buzz... *handshakes Buzz* This isn't goodbye.
Slinky
Hey, Woody, have fun at college.
Hamm
Yeah, but not too much fun.
Woody
*chuckles*
Rex
Woody, take good care of Andy.
Mrs. Potato Head
Yeah.
Mr. Potato Head
He's a good kid. Tell him to get a haircut.
Woody
*chuckles* Sure thing. *to Jessie* Jessie, you'll be okay in the attic?
Jessie
'Course I will. Besides, I know about Buzz's Spanish mode.
Buzz
My what?
Mrs. Davis
*o.s.* Honey, you want some food for the road?
Andy
*o.s.* I'll get something on the way.
Buzz
You know where to find us, cowboy.
(Woody smiles then tilt his hat in salute and ran towards the college box while Buzz climbs up to the attic box. Woody climbs on top of the box and look back at the toys who smiled warmly at him before shutting the flaps on the attic box. Woody smiled and got into the college box just as Andy and his mom entered the room.)
Mrs. Davis
Did you say goodbye to Molly?
Andy
*chuckles* Mom, we've said goodbye like 10 times.
Mrs. Davis
*gasps and notices Andy's room is empty* Oh, Andy...
(She looks around the empty bedroom with tears in her eyes.)
Andy
Mom, it's okay.
Mrs. Davis
I know. It's just... *sniffles* I just wish that I could always be with you.
Andy
*hugs her to comfort her* You will be, Mom.
(Woody watches from the college box and looks at a photo of young Andy playing with him and his friends. He then ponders his decision to go to college with Andy and his friends being in the attic.)
Molly
Hey, aren't you going to say goodbye to Buster?
Andy
Of course I am. *to Buster* Who's a good doggy? Who’s a good doggy? I'm gonna miss you. I'm gonna miss you.
(Woody gets an idea and climbs out of the box. He grabs a post it note pad and pen and runs over to the attic box unnoticed. He uses his mouth to took the top off, scrambles onto the attic box and writes something on the sticky note.)
Andy
I'm gonna miss you.
Mrs. Davis
Don't, Andy.
Molly
Good boy. He's telling you to go already.
Mrs. Davis
Come on. Get the rest of your things.
Andy
Okay, Buster. Now don’t let Molly near my stuff.
(Molly, Buster and Andy's mom walk out of the room. Andy turns to the attic box and sees the note on it. He picks it up and look at it before looking inside the box to see all his toys in there safe and sound.)
Andy
*chuckles* Hey...
(He picks Buzz and Rex up with delight then puts them back in the box and look at the note again.)
Andy
Hey, Mom. So, you really think I should donate these?
Mrs. Davis
It's up to you, honey. Whatever you wanna do.
[Trans. Ext. The streets]
(Andy is in the car driving himself to Bonnie's house.)
[Trans. Ext. Bonnie's house]
(Unbeknownst to him, the Irelanders have hitched a ride on the back bumper. They run to the fence and watch Bonnie playing with her toys while hiding from Andy in the bushes.)
Bonnie (Buttercup)
Don't go in there! The bakery is haunted!
Bonnie (Dolly)
Shh! Are you crazy? You'll wake up all the ghosts. Look out! The ghosts are throwing pies!" Splat! Splat! Splat! *spots Andy* Mom?
Mrs. Anderson
Andy?
Andy
Hi.
Mrs. Anderson
Wow. Look at you. Well, I hear you're off to college.
Andy
Yeah. Right now, actually.
Mrs. Anderson
So, what can we do for you?
Andy
Uh, I have some toys here.
Mrs. Anderson
Ooh. You hear that, Bonnie?
Andy
So, you're Bonnie? I'm Andy. Someone told me you're really good with toys. These are mine, but I'm going away now, so I need someone really special to play with them. *starts taking each of his toys out of the box and giving them to Bonnie* This is Jessie, the roughest, toughest cowgirl in the whole West. She loves critters, but none more than her best pal, Bullseye. *makes horse noises* Yee-haw! Here. This is Rex, the meanest, most terrifying dinosaur who ever lived! *roars* The Potato Heads. Mr. and Mrs. You gotta keep 'em together, 'cause they're madly in love. Now Slinky here is as loyal as any dog you could want. And Hamm, he'll keep your money safe, but he's also one of the most dastardly villains of all time, evil Dr. Pork Chop. These little dudes are from a strange alien world. Pizza Planet. And this... *makes whooshing noises* ...is Buzz Lightyear, the coolest toy ever! Look, he can fly and shoot lasers! He's sworn to protect the galaxy from the evil Emperor Zurg.
(Bonnie takes Buzz from Andy and presses a button on his chest causing his voice box to activate.)
Buzz
*voice box* To Infinity and beyond!
Andy
Now, you gotta promise to take good care of these guys. They... mean... a lot to me.
(Then Bonnie looks in the box and sees... Woody.)
Bonnie
My cowboy!
(Andy looks into the box and sees Woody laying inside.)
Andy
Woody? What's he doing in there?
Bonnie
"There's a snake in my boot!"
Andy
Wha...?
(He picks up Woody and pulls his pull-string.)
Woody
*voice box* There's a snake in my boot!
(Bonnie reaches out for Woody but Andy pulled him away in hesitation which makes Bonnie sad, and looks at Bonnie then to Woody.)
Andy
Now, Woody, he's been my pal for as long as I can remember. He's brave, like a cowboy should be... and kind... and smart. But the thing that makes Woody special... is he'll never give up on you... ever. He'll be there for you, no matter what. You think you can take care of him for me? (Bonnie nods.) Okay then.
(Andy hands Woody to Bonnie, who takes him. She and Andy smile at each other for a moment before Andy puts on a worried look and picks up Hamm.)
Andy
Oh, no! Dr. Pork Chop's attacking the haunted bakery! *makes laser sounds*
Bonnie
The ghosts are getting away! *picks up Woody and runs* Woody will stop 'em!
Andy
*picks up Buzz and runs after her* Buzz Lightyear to the rescue!
(It views Andy and Bonnie playing happily with their toys together.)
Bonnie
And we'll actually need the rocket.
Andy
They're getting away! Come on, Bullseye!
(Bonnie puts Buzz on Buttercup and carries them along.)
Bonnie
We need to get in the spaceship. The volcano is gonna erupt. Look! They’re being attacked by a real dog!
Andy
You can eat my poisonous scones!
Bonnie
Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head are in trouble.
Andy
Get on, Woody.
Bonnie
It's my friend Woody.
Andy
Buzz, hurry! Get your extra turbo booster.
[Time-skip]
(Andy gets to his car and waves to Bonnie who waves back. She make Woody's hand wave to him much to his delighted surprise. As he got into his car and start the engine, he look at his former toys and smiles warmly.)
Andy
Thanks, guys.
(Andy drives away as Bonnie's mom walks out onto the porch.)
Bonnie
Look, Mommy. They're all playing together.
Mrs. Anderson
Come on. Let's get some lunch.
(Bonnie and her mom head indoors. The toys come to live they watch Andy drive away from Bonnie's house from the porch.)
Woody
So long, partner.
(Buzz put a hand on Woody and smiles which makes him smile back.)
Woody
Oh, Buzz, you haven't even met Bonnie's toys yet. Hey, come here. You're gonna love 'em. Buzz, this is Dolly...
(The camera pans up to the cloud filled sky.)
[Trans. Epilogue]
(A woman carries a box into the Butterfly Room like Bonnie's Mom did the day Andy's toys arrived at Sunnyside. Once she's gone, the box opens and Emperor Zurg peaks out along with some other toys.)
Jack-in-the-Box
New toys!
(Stretch helps Zurg and his toy friends out of the box and onto the floor. The toy truck, now painted all bright and colourful, reverses up to them carrying Barbie and some toys with a sign that says "Welcome to Sunnyside, Cool and groovy!". Ken tears the sign in half and the toys jump off while Barbie stays in the dumper with him.)
Ken
Noses.
(He and Barbie touch noses and watch as the butterfly room toys welcome the newcomers. Later, the toys are being played with by the Caterpillar room toddlers. A boy hits Chuck on the floor before tossing him under a cupboard where he high-fives Twitch who takes his place. A hand picks Twitch up. Later, the Sunnyside Toys play in the sand pit. Big Baby hits a sandcastle he made with a spade but it breaks and falls apart, causing him to cry. Barbie gives him a bottle which he sucks on happily. Ken is sunbathing when he sees Sarge and his two army men float down into the playground from the sky. Smiling, he runs over to them and Sarge salutes. Ken salutes back and Barbie welcomes them into the playground. That night, Sarge and his men lower a disco ball which the Bookworm shines his torch on, lighting up the room like a disco dance room. The toys dance happily while high-fiving Ken as he passes. He accidentally steps in front of Chatter who is repaired but steps back to let him by. He continues walking and sees Barbie coming down in the Dream House lift. She's wearing a golden glitter outfit. Ken smiles in awe and walks over to her. He then tears off his white outfit revealing a golden glitter outfit underneath. Big Baby walks up to them wearing a golden glitter nappy and picks them. He starts dancing. In the office, the Monkey is watching everything. He puts on starry sunglasses and taps his cymbals together happily. The next day, the kids run into the butterfly room. Bonnie hangs up her backpack before running off. Once she and the other kids are gone, Stretch unzips Bonnie's backpack and slips a letter into it. At Bonnie's house, the toys read the letter.)
Woody
So I guess you could say Sunnyside is sunny once again! Hope to hear from your soon. We're all super excited about your new home, hugs and kisses to everyone. Awww.
Buzz
*whistles* That Barbie has some nice handwriting.
Jessie
Uh, Buzz... *points to Ken's name on the letter* Barbie didn't write this.
(They all look embarrassed at finding out Ken wrote it. That night, Trixie and Rex are playing a computer game.)
Rex
*yelps* Grab the sword!
Trixie
I got it!
Rex
Okay, go for the-
Trixie
Triple bonus!
Rex
Watch out!
Trixie
We got the cloak of darkness! Run, run!!
Rex
My arms are never long enough!
Trixie
I'll do it! This is it, this is it!
(An explosion noise is heard onscreen.)
Trixie
Yes!!
Rex
We did it.
Trixie
High five! (Rex tries to reach her foot.) Hold on...
(They reach up and eventually high-five each other. The next day, Dolly shows the toys pictures on the wall that Bonnie drew.)
Dolly
Well, it's official. You guys made the wall.
Woody
Oh, look at this!
Slinky
Golly bob howdy! Hey, that's me!
Woody
We're all up here. *sees a picture of Chuckles and Chuckles looking at it frowning* Hey, Chuckles, looking good.
Dolly
Yeah, she really got your smile.
(Chuckles frowns a bit longer before looking at the picture again and smiles for the first time in years. Later, Totoro juggles the three aliens.)
Aliens
Whee! Whee! Whee!
(Mrs. Potato Head giggles then yelps when she sees Mr. Potato's parts coming out unexpectedly.)
Mr. Potato Head
*gasps* What the- Ah!
(Peatey, Peatrice, and Peanelope laugh as they come out of his back slot.)
Mr. Potato Head
I told you kids, stay out of my butt!
(That night, the toys watch Mr. Pricklepants perform Romeo and Juliet.)
Mr. Pricklepants
But soft. What light through yonder window breaks?
Alien
*dressed as Juliet* Romeo, oh, Romeo. Where thor art thou, Romeo?
Buttercup
Next season, we're doing Cats.
Hamm
Or might I suggest Hammlet?
(Buttercup chuckles. The next day, Buzz and Totoro are examining Bonnie's rocket.)
Buzz
Yeah. Detached wing. Cosmetic damage. Nothing a little ducktape can't fix.
(Bullseye presses a button on a radio turning it on. The song Hay Un Amigo En Mi starts playing as Buzz starts doing Spanish dance moves, much to his surprise and shock. He dances over to Jessie and grabs her in bridal style, smiling sheepishly.)
Buzz
*chuckles nervously* I, uh, I don't know what came over me.
Jessie
*swings him into a bridal style* Just go with it, Buzz.
(Buzz's surprised expression turns into a smile and they start dancing. The toys watch and start dancing too. Woody tosses a rose to Jessie and she puts it in her mouth. She and Buzz continue to dance before finishing and posing in Spanish style as the screen turns black.)
