[Opening Titles: "Disney" and "Pixar"]
(The movie opens with a series of red curtains being pulled apart, lighted by two spotlights, revealing the title of the movie: "New Toy Story", accompanied by Woody's hat on a glimmering sky backdrop. A montage of scenes, along with the opening credits, begin to play, as the instrumental song plays "Prologue". As the instrumental song ends, a toy book is shown, titled "Toy Story". The book opens up, as Bonnie Anderson, a 5-year old girl, begins narrating the story.)
Bonnie (Narrator) | Once upon a time, the toys are here and played with: Woody, Buzz, Dolly, Mr. Pricklepants, Buttercup, and Trixie... including Peas-in-a-Pod. While the other toys conquered many worlds across the places, Woody had only one - Andy Davis. One day, Woody once was played with Andy. But then, Woody once was a lost toy where Jessie, Bullseye and Stinky Pete, aka, the Prospector. Without Woody, they're going back into the storage, because of him. But, when Woody was found in the case causing a fight with Stinky Pete. Woody was the first with Bonnie to play with him! |
(Bonnie, as narrator, now ends. Bunny and Ducky shut the book.)
Bunny | And now, dear toys- |
Ducky | ...I'm pleased to announce that Woody is finally ready to- |
Bunny and Ducky | ...take his rightful place to get played with! |
(A light fanfare is heard as Woody, new a black tuxedo cowboy, is shown standing in front of Bunny and Ducky. He faces us.)
Woody | *turns around* Hey-howdy-hey, how's it goin', everyone? |
(Words appear in front him: "Sheriff Woody Pride, from Woody's Roundup".)
Woody | I know you all deputies might be thinking of me as Sheriff Woody, but you don't reckon you have to put me on a schoolhouse. I already have a rightful place. |
Bunny and Ducky | Huh? |
(Babyface and Janie face each other.)
Woody | It's my Woody's Roundup show in 1950s where I live with my roundup gang, Jessie, Bullseye and Stinky Pete. But I moved to Bonnie. My friends are Buzz Lightyear, Hamm and Rex. As much as I've loved having us all new owners and being played with all day and night, I can't wait to spend some quality time with my new toys. |
(As Woody finishes his message, Babyface's eyes widen. Bunny scowls at Babyface.)
Bunny | Cut the feed. |
(Janie snickers and runs off to pull away the camera, as Legs shuts down the broadcast.)
Woody | I think that want well. |
Ducky | Woody, please! |
Bunny | You can't leave! You must stay. |
Ducky | Woody, you belong here, with us. |
Woody | Uh, thanks, but no thanks. *slowly backs away from them* I gotta go. |
Bunny and Ducky | But Woody! |
Ducky | I've disbanded my life and/or playing! |
Bunny | We've been saying "please" and "thank you", even to us. |
Woody | *desperate* What did we talk about? |
Ducky | Ugh, I don't know. Woody, we've done everything you've asked! |
Woody | That's great! Good job! Keep it up! Bye! |
(Woody starts to run away.)
Bunny | We don't keep it up, do we? |
(Ducky nods.) | |
[Trans. Int. Bonnie's room]
(Woody then arrives out under Bonnie's bed.)
Buzz | Woody! What took so long? |
Woody | Babyface, Legs, and Hand-in-the-Box. They really are friends with Bunny and Ducky, Buzz. |
Buzz | Why? |
Woody | Because they want to smother me with attention 24/7. |
Buzz | How fun. |
Woody | You're really going through with it? |
Buzz | I mean, here's the thing. In just a few hours, you'll be sittin' around a campfire with Bonnie makin' delicious, hot schmoes. |
Woody | They're called "smores", Buzz. |
Buzz | *quickly and a bit embarrassed* Right, right, of course. |
Rex | *suddenly appears* Hey, guys! You know, I suppose it's because Bonnie got herself to Cowboy Camp without us and I know what has made us a mistake. But in fact, this is why they're played with tonight. |
Woody | Are they playing tonight? Is it tonight? |
Buzz | Woody, you haven't lost your speciation, if it weren't the same coming for you. *to Rex* Have you? |
Rex | Well, I've got arms. I could get this party started up in here. I'll call myself... Um... Partysaurus Rex! |
Buzz | You know, we could get this party started, huh, Sheriff? |
Woody | Oh, yeah. I got it! We throw a modern section of the evening! Lights of Broadway! |
Buzz | That includes lights of toy-way. |
Hamm | *suddenly arrives* Yeah! |
Rex | Yeah, that's a great idea! |
Hamm | Excellent! And away we go! |
(The song plays "Broadway Melody".)
Woody | Don't bring a frown to old Broadway |
(The lights somehow turn off and the toys lighting up. Two different-colored toys hopped up and down, switching two different-colored lights off and on in rhythm. Forky is seen giving autographs to the Barbies.)
Forky | 'Scuse me! Spork on the move! Important toy documents comin' through! |
Barbie | Whoa! Everybody from lights of Toy-way is here! |
Raquelle | I know! |
(Woody now tap-dances and the glowing toys who used to be in it got under it to light up through the holes a la reflecting lights.)
Woody | Gotta dance! |
(Woody continues tap-dancing. Buzz, in Spanish version, dances in the tag of Hawaii.)
Buzz | Hola senoras y senores. *grabs his light, dancing around* |
Woody | Gotta dance! |
Toys | Gotta dance! |
Woody | Gotta dance! |
Toys | Gotta dance! |
Woody | Gotta dance! |
Toys | Gotta dance! |
Woody | Gotta dance! |
(Chuckles uses his drums, speaking in Hawaiian, then they continue dancing.)
Buzz | Esa es la música que nos trajeron, ¿eh? |
(The toys continue dancing, just as Mr. Potato Head dancing and spinning around and slides over to Mrs. Potato Head.)
Mr. Potato Head | Sweetie?! |
Mrs. Potato Head | *gasps* |
Mr. Potato Head | Where's my hat, sweet potato? |
Mrs. Potato Head | Right over here, genius! |
(Mrs. Potato Head hands over Mr. Potato Head's hat as she stands up. Mrs. Potato Head grabs Mr. Potato Head's hand and they pretend to do a Cyd Charisse and Gene Kelly-like dance.)
Mr. Potato Head | We're two in one. |
Mrs. Potato Head | It's so nice to have a big, strong spud around the house... |
(Mr Potato Head kisses her side while she giggles. They continue dancing.)
Aliens | Ooooh! |
Mr. Pricklepants | Brilliant! |
Buttercup | Amazing! |
(Just like in the movie, Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head continue doing a Cyd Charisse and Gene Kelly-like dance. They were stopped dancing as Mr. Pricklepants and Jessie applaud.)
Jessie | YEE-HAW! |
Aliens | You have saved our lives. We are eternally grateful. |
Mr. Potato Head | *groans miserly* Oh, no... |
Woody | *shrugs* Very good. That's a good start. |
(Just as they split up, Jessie and Bullseye arrive.)
Jessie | You forgot somethin', Woody! |
Woody | Did I? |
Jessie | Yes! And the toy-way goes to… *gasps quietly* WOODY AND BUZZ LIGHTYEAR! Sheriff and Space Ranger! |
(Woody and Buzz face each other.)
Buzz | *chuckles* I, uh- I don't know what came over me. |
Woody | Just go with me, Buzz. |
(Woody and Buzz Spanish-dance. Buzz twirls Woody around and lays him down as they still dance in the Spanish version. Totoro watches Woody and Buzz dance. Jessie comes with Woody and Buzz into a Spanish-dance. Jessie twirls Woody and Buzz around and continue dancing.)
Jessie | You're really rippin' those curls, Woody! |
Woody | I know! *to Bullseye* Ride like the wind, Bullseye! |
Dolly | *rides on Bullseye* Yay! |
Bo Peep | I found our movin' buddy! |
(Jessie, Woody and Buzz continued dancing and stopped dancing in the Spanish version. Karen Beverly then appears. Forky is lovestruck. He walks over to her in the 4th movie.)
Forky | Hi. I'm, uh... I'm Forky. |
Karen Beverly | Trash? |
Forky | No, no. Toy. I am a… We are all toys. Unique, beautiful toys. I will explain everything. |
Karen Beverly | How am I alive? |
Forky | I don't know. |
(Karen Beverly looks clearly nervous. Forky and Karen Beverly hold hands and begin dream-dancing in with clouds and pink sky mode.)
Karen Beverly | What makes you so sure when I'm a toy? |
Forky | This is where toys get played with, that's all! |
(Forky and Karen Beverly continue dream-dancing and floating up in the moonlight mode. They begin to float down in the ground. Forky and Karen Beverly then give a handshake.)
Karen Beverly | Don't you think I'm the newest toy? |
Forky | Yes. Thank you so much for being my newest toy to get played with. |
Karen Beverly | You're welcome? |
(The toys give an applause to Forky and Karen Beverly. Woody is now starstruck.)
Buzz | Gotta dance! |
(Buzz tap-dances with Woody.)
Woody | Gotta dance! |
(Woody and Buzz keep dancing with Bonnie's toys, and Etch-A-Sketch writing "Welcome Home, Bonnie!". Some more toys put Woody up. Rex got a tutu, glow rings and other party junk thrown on him, the toys still celebrated, Jessie jumps in, whooping with joy. The toys excite Woody from the Broadway Melody.)
All Toys and Woody | That's the Broadway Melody!~ |
(Song ends.) | |
Woody | Places, everyone! |
(The toys froze. Bonnie enters her house and sees Woody and the toys on the ground with Etch saying "Welcome Home, Bonnie!" on her screen.)
Bonnie | New toys! Cool! Thanks, Mom! *imitating Jessie* Nice tuxedo outfit, Woody! *imitating Woody* Thanks, Jessie! I owe you my new life! |
(She pulls Woody to her cheek. Woody looks at the other toys, they smile at him. Woody smiles back and thinks that was great.)
[Trans. Int. Bonnie's room by morning]
Woody | I want everything to stay exactly like this and never change. |
Bo Peep | Agreed. |
Slinky | Here, here. |
Woody | How's it lookin', Buzz? Do we all stay just like this forever? |
(Buzz adjusting a smile and pressing a button.)
Buzz | *voice box* Buzz Lightyear to the rescue! |
(He suddenly hears the kids shouting happily offscreen when he sits up.)
Buzz | No way! |
Rex | I don't think where this is going! |
Hamm | Except that toy. |
(Woody looks at the door with the kids offscreen shouting.)
Woody | Bonnie's coming! Everybody, back to your places! Hurry! |
(The toys panic and scatter about the room.)
Forky | Where are my arms?! |
Hamm | Get to your places! Get to your places! |
Mr. Potato Head | Where's my ear? Who's seen my ear? Did you see my ear?! |
Mrs. Potato Head | I got it, Honey! |
Rex | Out of my way! Here I come! Here I come! |
(Frantic, Rex slams into a trashcan on his head and falls over. Everyone scurries to their places as the kids' footsteps grow louder. Woody falls limp in his spot on the bed just as Bonnie's bedroom door flies open and a flood of children's feet rush in.)
Friend #1 | Hey, look! |
Bonnie | Quick, make a space! This is where we play! |
Friend #2 | Playtime! |
Bonnie | And you play with bugs just like insects! |
Mrs. Anderson | Come on, guys, time for games! |
(The kids all run out as fast as they entered, slamming the door behind them. The toys slowly come to life and make their way toward the bed.)
Jessie | What is it? |
Dolly | What's going on? |
Slinky | What the heck is up there? |
Trixie | Who's up there with you, Woody? |
Woody | Um... |
Rex | Was it something up there? |
Buzz | Not really. |
(Woody crawls out from under the bed. The toys are shocked to discover him there.)
Slinky | Woody? What are you doin' under the bed? |
Woody | Uh, nothing. I'm sure Andy was just a little excited, that's all. Too much cake and ice cream, I suppose. It's just a mistake! Now, let's all be polite and give whatever it is up there a nice, big Bonnie's Room welcome. |
(Woody climbs up the side of Bonnie's bed and walks to the backpack and sees what's in there.)
Woody | Huh? |
(Woody opens the zipper.)
Flik | Hi! |
Woody | Oh, hi! I thought you were a toy. I'm Woody, so what's your name? |
Flik | I'm Flik. |
Woody | Flik, hi. |
Jessie | It can't be. |
Woody | *to Jessie* Jessie, it can be! |
Flik | *to Dot* Come on, Dot! We gotta see new toys! |
Dot | Okay, Flik! |
(The toys are nervous, Woody takes Flik and Dot down.)
Buzz | Woody? |
Bo Peep | Who are they? |
Woody | Uh- *extraordinary clears his throat* Guys, those were new bug toys. Flik and Dot. Toys, bugs. Bugs, toys. |
Rex | Hello! |
Slinky | Hi! |
Aliens | Hiii! |
Buzz | Alright, everyone, excuse me. *to Flik and Dot* I'm Buzz Lightyear. I come in peace. |
Flik | Hi, Buzz! |
Dot | Hi! |
Woody | Now what'd I tell ya? |
Buzz | *to Woody* Aren't you forgetting that new toy, Woody? |
Woody | What?! Am I missing something? |
(Woody climbs up the bed again and sees what's in there.)
Princess Atta | Hi, new boy. |
Woody | Ha! |
(Bo Peep focuses she thinks.)
Bo Peep | Good thing they look new. |
Woody | Guys! |
(Woody walks over to Bo Peep.)
Bo Peep | Who is that, Woody? |
Woody | Bo Peep, meet- uh- |
Atta | Princess Atta. But you could call me Atta. |
Bo Peep | Atta? Oh, yeah. Hi. |
Woody | So now that we're all very excited of Bonnie's new toys. |
Flik | Toy? |
Buzz | This is strange. Do you know these guys, Woody? |
Woody | Yes, Buzz. Are you having so much fun with them? |
Bo Peep | Yeah, they just got here and is already exploring their way. Look at them. |
Mr. Potato Head | Hey, wait! Insects fly. How come you don't fly, Woody? |
Woody | I'm not sure. |
Mr. Pricklepants | What's with them? |
Buttercup | We just tell tricks. |
(Mr. Pricklepants and Buttercup shush each other as Trixie adjusts to shush them while copying them in the 3rd movie.)
Forky | Don't you know? It's hard to believe all of that toy company was to get played with every year! |
Woody | Still tense. |
Flik | So, Woody, about this toy company, we would love to join! |
Woody | Yeah, uh- |
Dot | Yeah, Woody! It's fun. Please enjoy us. I'm begging you. Please! |
Buzz | Blast, Woody, don't make her beg. |
Woody | Oh, right. |
Flik | Brilliant. |
Dot | Yes! |
Woody | Uh, can I meet you guys under the bed? |
[Trans. Int. Under Bonnie's bed]
Woody | Okay, guys, look, we're all very impressed with Bonnie's new toys. So Flik, Dot and Atta need us now! |
Jessie | Huh? |
Slinky | What?! |
Woody | Yeah! They're new here. And that's why we all get played with and meet our new toys. |
Buzz | Excuse me. What are you saying? |
Woody | That's because there's preschool toys present. |
Rex | Woody, now I'm curious and nervous right now. What do they actually do? |
Woody | Uh, never mind. Let's go back. |
Buzz | Way to go, cowboy! |
(They get out.) | |
[Trans. Int. Bonnie's room]
Woody | Guys! Hi. |
Flik | Hey, woody! |
Buzz | So, what do I say I have a flying lesson? |
(Buzz calmly hits a button and wings pop out. Flik and Dot gasp in awe.)
Dolly | Hey, he's got something like that. Now's our chance to change it! New room and all, because- |
Trixie | Because it's coming, huh? |
Buzz | They are a trillium-carbonic alloy, huh? |
Woody | True. |
Buzz | Alright, everyone, I'll show you. |
(Buzz then heads toward the edge of the bed and climbs up the bedpost. The toys look at Buzz. He poses like a high diver, shuts his eyes.)
Buzz | To infinity... and beyond! |
(In the first film, Buzz leaps off the bed and plummets straight down, hits a big rubber ball and bounces right back up. He then soars upward into a plane mobile hanging from the ceiling. Buzz becomes wedged between the plane's wheels. The impact turns on the plane's motor making it and Buzz spin around and around. All the other toys watch from the bed, mesmerized. Finally, the centrifugal force causes Buzz to separate from the plane, sailing him across the room toward the bed. Buzz makes a perfect landing right in front of Woody and then opens his eyes.)
Buzz | See? Can! |
Rex | Whoaaa! |
Mr. Pricklepants | Told ya. |
Woody | Wait, wait, wait. Hold on. What? Amazing. |
Slinky | *laughing* Golly-bob-howdy! |
Woody | Hey, you know what? - We'll just be stuck in an RV, goin' to New York. In a couple days, we're Bonnie's toys, 'cause we'll see. We'll see. We're still Bonnie's favorite toys. |
[Trans. Ext. Road trip in the RV]
(Bonnie is seen dozing off. Woody, trying to stay awake, is relaxing.)
Buzz | Hey, Woody. |
Woody | Hey, Buzz. |
Buzz | I know Bonnie's excited about her new bugs, aka new toys. But you know, they'll have a special thing for you. |
Woody | What are you talkin' about, Buzz? It's always coming to life, and now the toys are back in town! And you and I have the best toys in the whole playtime. |
Buzz | And we’ll all be together. |
Woody | Exactly. And how the world will soon be his! |
Buzz | Yammering. |
Woody | Yammering! I mean, we are here for Bonnie. |
Buzz | You know them. They're the good guys. I been looking for Space Rangers all night long. |
Woody | Who understands? I know what Bonnie will always have a special place for all of us! |
Slinky | Woody! You're up. |
Rex | Hey, Woody! You know, since Princess Atta helped me with that sort of thing, it can just be waived. |
Buzz | Guys, let's just be real. |
Woody | Hi guys, in case you haven't heard, I've been wandering all of us music! |
Flik | We have music? |
Woody | Yes. |
Atta | What? Impossible! |
Jessie | Maybe this has been great. Just in case, there's- |
Dot | Any music? Why didn't you say so? |
Woody | That's good. |
Atta | Yes! And what a lovely song. |
("I Got Rhythm" plays.)
Atta | Days can be sunny with never a sigh |
Jessie | Way to good. |
Atta | I'm as happier all the day |
Flik and Dot | Huh? |
Atta | I got rhythm, I got music, I got my man |
Jessie | Old man trouble I don't mind him |
Atta | I've got starlight |
Jessie | Who could ask for anything more? |
Woody | I got rhythm |
Buzz | I got music |
Bo Peep | I got my man |
Woody | Who could ask for anything more? |
Bo Peep | I got my man |
Woody and Buzz | Who could ask for anything more? |
Jessie | Old man trouble I don't mind him |
Buzz | I got starlight |
Mr. Potato Head | I got sweet dreams |
Mrs. Potato Head | I got my man |
Bo Peep | Who could ask for anything more? |
All | Who could ask for anything more? |
(Buzz starts doing Spanish dance moves, much to his surprise and shock. He dances over to Jessie and turns into a smile and they start dancing. The toys watch and start dancing too. Woody tosses a rose to Jessie and she puts it in her mouth.)
Woody | Good work, guys! |
(Bo Peep dances with Woody doing polka moves. Buzz and Jessie step in the dancing with Bo Peep and Woody. Woody, Buzz, Jessie and Bo Peep continue dancing as Bo Peep exits the dancing. Woody, Buzz and Jessie now dance in expression.)
All | Old man trouble, I don't mind him |
(Jessie and Bo Peep vocalize.)
All but Jessie and Bo Peep | I got rhythm (Ohh) |
(They continue dancing. The Nutcracker arrives.)
Woody | What are those? |
Buzz | The Nutcracker gang! |
The Nutcracker | Hup, hup, hup, hup! |
(The Nutcracker Soldiers march in and tap-dance.)
Woody | Guess so. |
(The Nutcracker soldiers continue tap-dancing. Jessie is about to tap-dance. The toys watch Jessie. Woody and Bo Peep enter the dancing and the toys watch them.)
The Nutcracker and the Toys | Hup, hup, hup, hup! |
(Buzz enters and does the Spanish moves again and the toys watch him. The Nutcracker enters the dancing and does the tap-dancing. All the toys enter the dancing.)
All | Who could ask for anything more?~ |
(Song ends. Woody notices the dancing is over, but Woody is depressed.)
Woody | Wow. That's great. |
(Woody imagines his thought of dancing.)
Woody | Wait. Where's everything? *pulls his string* |
Woody | *voice box* I like to join this posse, boys, but first I'm gonna sing a little song. |
Woody | *to himself* Who am I kidding? |
[Trans. Ext. New York] | |
(The RV goes past.) | |
Mr. Anderson | Well, here we are. |
Mrs. Anderson | See? That's the place we live in. |
Bonnie | Oh, boy! Can I bring some toys? |
Mrs. Anderson | Well, sure. *to Mr. Anderson* Do we have a basket? |
Mr. Anderson | Yes, we have. |
Mrs. Anderson | Thanks anyways. *to Bonnie* Don't forget your toys, Bonnie. |
Bonnie | Yay! |
(Mr. Anderson brings a basket and the Anderson family put the toys in the basket.)
Mrs. Anderson | Come on, Bonnie. |
(The Anderson family get inside. Screen shows the sky.)
[Trans. Int. The hotel room]
(Woody is slept in a couch. Woody wakes up.)
Woody | Guys. Morning. How's everybody's night? |
Flik | Woody? *notices the forgotten toys on the table* What just happened? |
Woody | I don't know what happened, Flik. |
Flik | Why? |
Woody | Um.. |
Dot | Tell us. |
Woody | No idea. |
Flik | What's the matter? |
Woody | No idea. |
Dot | How!? |
Woody | I had a strange dream last night. *pulls his string* |
Woody | *voice box* Oh, hey! You wanna hear me yodel?! Yodel-Lay-Hee-Hoooooo! |
Flik | Nice voice box, Woody. |
Dot | Where'd you get it? |
Woody | On my back. That's how. It did something extra weird to me, and now, my friends are in charge of my life. |
Flik | See, Woody? Now you know how I feel almost all the time. But you know what else? Any moment now, the toys are gonna do that thing where they get played with and danced with all day and night you said! |
Woody | Now I get it. This is what I- |
(Woody presses the badge, which begins to glow.)
Dot | See? Here he comes. |
Flik | Good old Buzz! |
(A holographic oyster badge materializes around Buzz's badge.)
Woody | Well, that's new. |
Badge | Calling Star Commanders. Come in, Star Commanders. This is Buzz Lightyear. State your name please. |
Woody | Um, Woody? |
Badge | Greetings, Um Woody. Please state preferred customization options. |
Flik | What did he call you? |
Woody | I don't know. |
Dot | He got your name wrong? |
Badge | Default setting selected. Please stand by. |
(The badge descends to the floor, as it opens and reveals a reforming Buzz... who takes on her first regeneration's appearance as a real Space Ranger. Cautious and somewhat curious, Woody, Flik and Dot approach him.)
Woody | Buzz? Buzz! Ha! You're alive! This is great! Oh, I'm saved! I'm saved! Bonnie will find us, and then you can tell everyone that this was all just a big mistake. Huh, right? *panting* Buddy? |
(Ignoring Woody, Buzz steps over.)
Woody | Buzz, what are you doing? |
Buzz | Local law enforcement. It's about time you got here. I'm Buzz Lightyear, Space Ranger, Universe Protection Unit. And welcome to your new Buzz. |
Woody | *panicked* WHAAAAAT'S GOING ON?!?! |
Flik | Could his memories be broken? |
Woody | Uh... It looks fine to me. |
(Suddenly, a 1955 Barbie doll arrives.)
Flik | Is that Barbie? |
Woody | What? She looks classic! |
1955 Barbie | How luckily do you do? |
Woody | Uh- |
Buzz | Prisoners! Welcome aboard. |
("I Can't Give You Anything But Love" plays. 1955 Barbie, Skipper, Raquelle, and the classic women.)
1955 Barbie gang | I can't give you anything but love, baby |
1955 Barbie | Dream a while, scheme a while |
1955 Barbie gang | All those things you always pine for |
1955 Barbie | Gee it's nice to see you looking swell, baby |
1955 Barbie gang | I can't give you anything |
(The classic toys come to life and Mrs. Teapotts, Captain Redbeard The Pirate, Perry, Rose Burkkins and Blossom approach.)
All | I can't give you anything but- |
(Song ends, much to Woody's chagrin, who angrily points at Rose Burkkins.)
Woody | YOOOUU!!! *grabs and shakes Rose Burkkins rapidly* What have you done to us!? |
Rose Burkkins | *giggles and boops Woody's head* Boop! Now, it's your turn! |
(Woody gets scoop up by Rose Burkkins which runs around the room, carrying Woody with it.)
Woody | Whoa! Hey! Stop! Stop! Get off me! Stop it! Get off me, I said! Whoa! |
(Rose Burkkins stops and Woody fell off him and land on his head.)
Mrs. Teapotts | WOO-HOO! IT'S YOU! IT'S YOU!! IT'S YOU, IT'S YOU, IT'S YOU! IT'S REALLY YOU!!! |
Woody | What's me? |
(Mrs. Teapotts shouts indistinctly as Flik and Dot are nervous.)
Flik | That's really awkward... |
(She throws Woody forward to pull his pull-string and put her ear to his chest to listen to his voice box.)
Woody | *voice box* There's a snake in my boot! |
Mrs. Teapotts | Ha! It is you! |
Woody | Please stop saying that! |
(Missing his point entirely, Perry and Blossom wrap their arms around Woody and start to shake him rapidly in midair while laughing.)
Woody | W-W-W-Would you cut that out?!! |
(They stop shaking Woody, whose eyes rattle around cartoonishly, dizzy.)
Woody | Please? |
(With a silly face, they let go of Woody, who falls face-first onto the floor. Rose Burkkins, meanwhile, points at the other toys with curiosity.)
Rose Burkkins | Hey, look! There's more toys! |
(Buzz, mimicking Rose Burkkins' movement, picks Forky up and shakes him rapidly too.)
Blossom | Let's ask 'em to play! |
Woody | Wait a minute. You guys don't remember? |
Perry | Remember what? |
[Trans. Ext. New York] | |
(The toys are now seen in the path and the refreshed toys look up.)
Rose Burkkins | Wowee! That thing sure is big! You wanna climb it or somethin'? |
Woody | Wait, wait. Are you serious right now? What about that stuff you said about how I had a dream about you last night? |
Rose Burkkins | I said what now? |
Woody | You really don't remember, huh? |
Buzz | My Um Woody, allow me. *presses the button* |
Buzz | *voice box* I'm on a special mission to find it and bring it back. |
Woody | Okay, Buzz, stop. *to himself* What do I do? I've got no friends to help me except... |
(Woody then shifts his view to the Toy Carnival in the distance.)
Woody | Bunny and Ducky? That's why they need me! Come on, guys! |
Buzz | Hey everyone, I like my Um Woody here to come join. |
Woody | He keeps calling me Um Woody... |
Dot | Woody, wait! |
Flik | Don't leave us alone with these two! |
Woody | Just keep an eye on them for now. I'll be back. |
(Woody runs off and follows Rose Burkkins, Mrs. Teapotts, Perry, Blossom and Captain Redbeard.)
Buzz | So, you're Flik, and you're Dot? You guys are the most bugs I've never heard of Star Command. |
Flik | Sorry, Buzz, I don't appreciate your saying. |
Buzz | Nonsense. I got lots of work to do. Come on! |
(Flik and Dot begin to follow Buzz and Jessie.)
[Trans. Int. Toy Carnival]
(Atop the tower in the center of Toy Carnival, Ducky inspects the Injector with a pair of binoculars.)
Ducky | What do you think you're doing!? I'm waiting for you for ten months! |
Woody | Yeah, I know. |
Bunny | Why don't we just ask her? |
Woody | Well, here's the thing- |
(Mrs. Teapotts and Rose Burkkins creep up Woody and pokes at his shoulders.)
Woody | Hmm? What? Where'd they- |
(Mrs. Teapotts and Rose Burkkins pop up from behind Woody, startling him.)
Woody | Aah! |
Mrs. Teapotts | Surprise! |
Woody | There they are, my new recruits. |
Rose Burkkins | A pleasure to meet you all. |
Bunny | I thought you said they were just trying to kill you? |
Ducky | Wow. Quick turnaround. I say it took us a day- day and a half? |
Woody | Guys, hold on a sec. All toys used to use these things on stuff I said about, steppin' out of line. I traveled all the way to find you, because I knew. |
Bunny | Listen, if anyone can fix this, it's you. |
Woody | I can't believe this. For the first time in years, everyone's in danger. Everybody needs me, and I'm useless! |
Ducky | Uh, sorry, Woody, but I... I have to think what we did was right. |
Woody | Guys, come on now. There's gotta be an easier job to fix. |
Bunny | Uh... |
Ducky | He was right, Bunny. |
[Time-Skip] | |
The Nutcracker | All right men, let's move move move! |
(The Nutcracker soldiers is seen marching around.)
Woody | So, when Bo Peep first got there, Billy, Goat and Gruff are lost but Bo Peep went to find them in a true story. So, maybe we've gotta create some sort of dangerous situation. |
Ducky | There's no danger, is there? |
Bunny | Not really, but there's something extra for Woody. |
Ducky | I think we could dig something up! |
(Ducky chuckles as he runs towards a toy box, rummaging through the various items inside.)
Ducky | Danger, danger, danger. What have we got? Hmm. No. *gasps* Aha! |
(Woody looks in surprise as Ducky pulls out a large buzzsaw toy.)
Woody | A giant pizza cutter?? |
Ducky | Of course. |
Woody | I can't threaten them with this! |
Ducky | Hmm... Here! Off you go now. *pushes Woody away* |
Mrs. Teapotts | *waving to Woody* Good luck! |
(Woody walks over, a nervous look on his face with the buzzsaw, with the Nutcracker soldiers still marching around.)
Nutcracker Soldiers | Hup, hup, hup, hup, hup, hup, hup. Hup, hup, hup, hup. |
The Nutcracker | *turns and sees Woody approaching* Hmm? Halt! I cannot allow you to approach us with such a threatening device. |
Woody | That's too bad, 'cause I'm gonna... get you! *holds the buzzsaw up high* |
Bunny | Will this work? |
(Perry stifles giggle.)
The Nutcracker | Permission to dispatch the cowboy. I predict he won't be able to follow through. |
Woody | You're right! Ugh, I can't. *turns off the buzzsaw and drops it on the ground* Even if we are just pretending. *walks away* |
The Nutcracker | Men, continue on the marching! Let's move move move! |
Nutcracker Soldiers | Hup, hup, hup, hup, hup, hup, hup. Hup, hup, hup, hup. |
(Rose Burkkins walks over to the buzzsaw, looking at it curiously, and picks it up.)
Bunny | Maybe we should try... |
Woody | Wait! Rose! No, no, no, no! Don't touch that thing! |
(Rose Burkkins presses the button on the handle and activates the buzzsaw, causing her to vibrate violently. She begins yelling and stumbling around, attempting to hold the buzzsaw down, as she crashes towards an unseen structure off-screen.)
Bunny | Hey, we just built that! |
(Rose Burkkins loses control of the buzzsaw, as it begins rolling and cutting on the ground, when her still holding onto it.)
The Nutcracker | Men, let's run! |
(Rose Burkkins screams as she rolls off-screen, with another crash being heard. She continues screaming as the buzzsaw makes its way towards the group.)
Woody | Look out! |
(Woody tackles Rose Burkkins off the buzzsaw. The group watches in horror as the buzzsaw continues to run and slices its way up the center tower, cutting through the wooden planks and scaffolding.)
Bunny | My scaffolding! MY PRECIOUS SCAFFOLDING! |
Mrs. Teapotts | Wow! What happens next! |
Perry | Just a minute. |
(Woody then turns around to see Ducky holding back some of the falling scaffolding with his freakiness.)
Ducky | I got this, Bunny! |
Bunny | *runs over* Nice work, Duck- Ho-oh, shucks! Ah, shoot! |
(Three barrels falls off the scaffolding, Bunny manages to catch two of them, but the third one rolls away.)
Bunny | Oh nooo-ho! THE NUTCRACKER AND THE GANG ARE OUT THE AN AFTERNOON MARCHING PLAN!!! |
(Woody catches up to save the Nutcracker soldiers with his hands, just as the barrel is about to run them over.)
Woody | You guys... okay? |
The Nutcracker | Sir, yes, sir! |
(The debris stops falling, but a noticeable chunk of the scaffolding has fallen off.)
Blossom | Is it... over? |
Bunny | The saw! |
Ducky | No! This can't happen! |
(The saw continues to cut up the tower, making its way to a crane hanging onto an a giant anvil. The saw cuts into the handle of the crane, lodging into it. The handle of the crane snaps apart, and the anvil begins to fall.)
Woody | NO!! |
(In the split second, the Nutcracker soldiers dive out falling. The anvil breaks and the screen begins to glow as the song plays "You Are My Lucky Star".)
Bo Peep |
|
(More of Bo Peep's imagination, she's back to normal, taking the form when she first appeared.)
Woody | Bo! Oh! Bo! Bo Peep! Bo Peep! You're back! |
(Woody runs forth to give Bo Peep a hug, who quickly backs away in awkwardness, and he falls face-first onto the ground.)
Woody | *gets up* Thank goodness it's you. |
Bo Peep | W-W-What's going on!? |
Woody | Every toy's memories are wiped, and my powers are all messed up. We need your help! What should we do, Bo? |
(Woody steps fourth towards Bo Peep as he explains the situation, as she continues to back away in unease.)
Bo Peep | I'm sorry, but... Do you know me? |
Woody | Uh.. |
(Ducky and Bunny begin to tackle Woody.)
Jessie | Ooh! |
Bunny | Five days! |
Ducky | Five days, kid! |
Woody | What? |
Bunny | That's how long we've been having you here! |
Woody | Look, I'm sorry, but this was a mistake. |
Ducky | You ruined our lives! SHAME ON YOU! *cries on Bunny* |
Woody | *disappointed* Her memories aren't back. I guess this toy was only the first piece. |
(Buzz enters and imitates a small trumpet and plays a small fanfare.)
Buzz | Attention, everyone, Flik and Dot have arrived. |
Flik | Woody! |
Woody | Flik? Dot? |
Dot | What's happened? |
Ducky | It was only an accident! |
Woody | Now now, you gotta believe me, but I- |
Flik | Woody, Buzz must have wandered off in a while ago. |
(Squeaking noises are then heard.)
Flik | Buzz, you don't have to do that! *rushes to Buzz* |
Dot | Flik, wait! *rushes to Flik* |
Woody | I gotta find Jessie. You guys should keep an eye on Bo Peep. |
Bunny | Yeah, sure. But it looks like she's doing a pretty good job watching herself. |
(Bo Peep is seen examining her own body and exploring her environment.)
Woody | Thanks! |
Buzz | My Um Woody, don't forget your Space Ranger. |
Woody | Thanks, Buzz, but I'll be right back. |
(Woody lets go of Buzz's hand, who instantly reacts in a fit of anger.)
Buzz | NO!!!! |
Woody | *flinches in shock* O-Okay. Let's go together? |
(Buzz's anger quickly subsides, returning him back to her gleeful personality.)
Buzz | Great! *chuckles* Cool. |
[Trans. Ext. New York] | |
(Woody and Buzz begin looking Jessie between various locations around New York to look for Jessie.)
Woody | Jessie! |
(The group goes to the streets nest.)
Woody | Jessie? |
(Then the group goes to inside Bonnie's car.)
Woody | Jessie! |
(Seeing Jessie is not here, Woody and Buzz sweat.)
Woody | Where can she be? Huh? |
(Crashing noises are heard. Woody looks over and sees something.)
Woody | Jessie? |
(Woody and Buzz walk over and peek through the curtains.)
Buzz | What is this place? |
Woody | I-It's an art studio. It looks like Jessie used to come here all the time. |
(Woody looks at Jessie.)
Woody | Jessie! Thank goodness you're okay. |
Jessie | Thank goodness you're okay. |
Woody | *sighs, but smiles* I'm not okay. You are. I'm gonna get us all back piece by piece. All we want is Buzz's memories. |
Jessie | Buzz's memories? |
Woody | *to Buzz* Buzz, do you remember the Space Ranger thing? |
Buzz | The Space Ranger thing? |
Woody | Singing and dancing, that's gotta be a piece. *turns on a light* Do you remember singing and dancing with me? |
Buzz | Sure. |
("Friendship" plays.)
Buzz | If you're ever in a jam |
Woody | If you ever need a pal |
Buzz | If you ever feel so happy you land in jail |
Woody and Buzz | It's friendship, friendship |
Woody | When other friendships have been forgot |
Buzz | Ours will still be hot |
Woody | Lahdle-ahdle-ahdle, dig-dig-dig |
(Woody, Buzz and Jessie lead out of the garage.)
Buzz | If you're ever down a well |
Woody | If you ever catch on fire |
Buzz | If you ever lose your teeth when you're out to dine |
Woody and Buzz | It's friendship, friendship |
Woody | When other friendships have been forgot |
Buzz | Ours will still be swell |
Woody | Lahdle-ahdle-ahdle, hep-hep-hep |
(Woody begins dancing outside of the garage, which Buzz mirrors his every movements and words of the song.)
Woody | If they ever black your eyes |
Buzz | If they ever cook your goose |
Woody | If they ever put a bullet through your brain |
Woody and Buzz | It's friendship, friendship |
Woody | When other friendships have time to play |
Buzz | Ours will still be played with |
Woody | Lahdle-ahdle-ahdle, goof-goof-goof |
Buzz | If you ever lose your mind |
Woody | If you ever lose your memory |
Buzz | If you're ever in a mill and get sawed in half |
Woody and Buzz | It's friendship, friendship |
(Outside, Buzz presses his button.)
Buzz | *voice box* It's a secret mission in uncharted space. Let's go. |
(The trio then catches a toy train.)
Woody | If they ever crack your spine |
Buzz | If they ever cut your throat |
Woody | If they ever make a cannibal stew of you |
Woody and Buzz | It's friendship, friendship |
Woody | When other friendships have time to play |
Buzz | And ours will still be getting crushed by the Evil Emperor Zurg! |
Woody | Buzz! |
Buzz | Sorry. |
Woody and Buzz | When other friendships have been forgot |
(As the song concludes, Woody brings Buzz to the top of a hill, and they both gaze out to the sunset.)
Buzz | *makes a finger-gun* Pew! |
Woody | *surprised, and makes finger-guns in return* Pew, pew...? |
(Buzz, surprised by his own actions, looks at her finger-gun, and he begins doing the secret handshake reflexively with Woody.)
Woody and Buzz | One, two, three, hup! |
Woody | Buzz Lightyear! |
(Buzz begins to glow and floats. He then cycles between various of his past customs, until he sticks to one, returning back to his current self. After regaining his memories, Buzz falls onto the ground from the air.)
Buzz | Ohh... What just happened? |
Woody | Buzz, it worked! You're back! *embraces the current Space Ranger, who is now much shorter than him* |
(Woody and Buzz grab each other's hands and twirl around in joy. They both laugh and embrace each other. Jessie comes in too, and hugs the two happily. Buzz notices her.)
Buzz | *jumps away* HO-YAAAHH!!! |
(Buzz does a karate yell, taking a fighting stance. He presses a button on his arm that turns on a red laser beam light on his wrist. Buzz aims the red beam on Woody's forehead and holds it there.)
Buzz | What are you doing here?! |
Woody | So, Buzz, Jessie's memories have been lost. |
Buzz | What was this about? |
Woody | It doesn't remember that. We don't even remember that thing, Buzz. *notices the toy injector* |
Buzz | Oh no...! |
(Woody and Buzz gasp in shock, noticing the clouds and area around the toy injector have worsen. The toys look on in horror.)
Woody | So...that's our problem, huh? |
Buzz | Yup. |
[Trans. Int. Toy Carnival]
(Various toys are gathered. Woody, Buzz, and Jessie begin running. They then find Ducky, Bunny, Rose Burkkins, Mrs. Teapotts, Redbeard, and Perry.)
Woody | Guys! |
Ducky | Woody, Buzz, get away from me. We can't stand to see you all times in a row before our personality. |
Buzz | Hey, we're back, you guys. |
Ducky | Oh! Well son of a building block, you're just in time for the end of the world! |
Woody | It's a long story, guys. You got it all wrong. It's not the end of the world! We're fine. I hope we got back to see you! |
Bunny | You are a liar! |
Woody | No, I'm not! *to Buzz* Buzz, just tell them what's going on. |
Buzz | Alrighty. Whatever it's leaking into the air is toxic. As of this moment, the ampule has drained 15.4% of its contents, meaning the poison is releasing at a destruction rate of 5 cubic meters per hour, giving us T-minus 48 hours until the destruction of all organic life. You know... People. |
Ducky | Not cool, man. |
Bunny | Yeah, not cool. |
Buzz | Just as the Emperor Zurg thought. |
Ducky | Zurg? You can't be serious. |
Woody | Oh. Last night I had a dream where those minor guys took my friends' memories away. Now it's gonna kill everything else too?! I gotta do something! *runs towards the toy injector* |
Buzz | Woody! |
Ducky and Bunny | Woody, stop! |
Woody | Superhuman strength!! |
(Woody then begins to lift up the toy injector, straining while slowly pulling it out of the ground.)
Bunny | Woody! |
Ducky | Careful! |
Buzz | What does that cowboy think he's DOING?! |
Rose Burkkins | Yeah! Lift with your legs! |
Mrs. Teapotts | Do it! |
(Woody begins to struggle while lifting as he causes to lose grip the to yinjector and dropping it back into the ground.)
Buzz | Look out! |
(The resulting tremor from the impact causes everyone to stumble off balance, and some of the poison to splash out, spilling a drop onto Woody's arm. Woody groans in pain, as he sees the poison has burned through his black sleeve, leaving noticeable scars on his arm.)
Ducky and Bunny | Woody! |
Buzz | Sheriff, are you okay? |
Woody | Oh, my organic tuxedo. I didn't do anything without my real job. *pulls his string* |
Woody | *voice box* Boy! I thought I'd see everything! Woo-hoo! |
Woody | I didn't try that. |
Ducky | You didn't try that? |
Buzz | *opens his wrist communicator* Buzz Lightyear to Star Command. Come in Star Command. This toy injector accelerates the poison's rate of release. Also, it might explode. I'm about to set my laser from stun to kill. |
Woody | We must be able to deactivate it. We have to find a way to move it, without touching it, before it's too late. |
Jessie | Good question. |
Buzz | You're right, Woody. You got me back. We'll just bring them all the pieces back. What do ya say back there? |
Woody | That's different; I know you. I don't know anything. None of us had even heard of her before! Except... Barbie! Barbie knew them! |
[Trans. Int. Hotel room]
Barbie | I'm afraid I can't help. I'm only serving my friends to help your friends a show. |
Woody | Really? Even for all of us? |
Buzz | This is nuts. |
Barbie | Oh, dearest! Who doesn't have a bon-bon? |
Woody and Buzz | What? |
(Skipper and Stacie throw the chocolate on Barbie's mouth.)
Barbie | Mmm! Delish! Thank you. |
Woody | Barbie lost her memories too. We gotta bring her back, before- |
Flik | Hi, guys. |
Woody | Flik! Dot! |
Dot | Hey! You found Buzz! |
Buzz | *acts like a robot* Who is Buzz Lightyear? |
Flik | Oh no, he's worse than we thought. |
Buzz | Nah, I'm kidding. |
Woody | *relieved, but exasperated* Too soon, Buzz! |
Atta | Hey, Woody. It took so long to wait for you and Buzz, right? It takes forever, okay? |
Woody | Atta, do you know what's going on with Barbie and her friends? |
Atta | Name one. |
Woody | So, there's one of the girls named Barbie, Skipper, Stacie, Chelsea, Daisy, Renee, Nikki, Teresa, Midge, Summer, and Raquelle. |
Buzz | We had some other Barbie in their whole lives before, Woody. |
Woody | Right. |
Wheezy | I came as soon as I heard! What's going on with them? |
(A crashing sound is then heard. Everyone turn to seeing Daisy squatting beside Renee, who had fallen and tangled into a pile of cables.)
Wheezy | Ladies, are you okay? |
Daisy | Anyone care for the red cable? Or the blue cable? |
Wheezy | It doesn't matter! They're the same! *sees Barbie twirling around* Barbie, what is going on?! We need to wait for the show! |
Woody | Who cares about the show!? Do we know anything else? We have to recreate this toy injector! To stop it, we need us back, and to do that, we need Barbie back, and to do that, we need our missing pieces. Our job is to set things right. We've gotta stage some big, dramatic event; something to jog her memory, just like- Um, like... |
Buzz | Like a jazz show! |
Woody | Like a jazz show! |
Wheezy | Like a jazz show? |
Woody and Buzz | YES! |
[Time-skip] | |
(Woody and Buzz are waiting for Jessie and Bo Peep.)
Jessie | YEE-HAW! Ready to join this posse, my lady? |
Bo Peep | Of course! But would it be easy if I can take care of this for just a sec? |
Woody | How much longer, Buzz? |
Buzz | T-Minus 4 hours. |
Woody | Hm. *notices himself* Wait a minute. Jessie and Bo Peep's memories! It could be greater! |
Buzz | Now we're talking about it. |
Woody | *walks over to Jessie and Bo Peep* Listen, if we can pull this off, this day will go down in history for the toys, Match 23rd. |
Buzz | Ah-ah-ah, our lucky day's not the 23rd, it's the 24th. |
Woody | What do ya mean the 24th? |
Buzz | Because it's 1:30 already. It's morning! |
Jessie | Yes! And what a lovely morning. |
("Good Morning" plays.)
Jessie | Good morning |
Woody | Good morning |
Jessie | Good morning |
Woody | Good morning to you |
Bo Peep | Good morning |
Woody and Bo Peep | Good morning |
Woody | When the band began to play |
Buzz | Now the milkman's on his way |
Woody, Buzz, Jessie and Bo Peep | So, good morning, good morning |
Bo Peep | And you, and you, and you |
Jessie | Good morning, good morning |
Woody and Buzz | Nothin' could be grander than to be in Louisiana |
Jessie and Bo Peep | In the morning, in the morning |
Woody and Buzz | It might be just a zippy if you was in Mississipi |
Bo Peep | When we left the movie show |
Jessie | But pain's gone, the show goes on |
Woody and Buzz | So say, good morning! |
Jessie | Good morning! |
Woody, Buzz, Jessie and Bo Peep | Rainbow is shining through |
Jessie and Bo Peep | Good morning |
Woody and Buzz | Good morning |
Jessie and Bo Peep | Bonjour |
Woody and Buzz | Bonjour |
Jessie and Bo Peep | Buenos dias |
Woody and Buzz | Buenos dias |
Jessie and Bo Peep | Buon giorno |
Woody and Buzz | Buon giorno |
Jessie and Bo Peep | Guten morgen |
Woody and Buzz | Guten morgen |
Woody, Buzz, Jessie and Bo Peep | Good morning to you! |
(The instrumental theme plays as Woody, Buzz, Jessie and Bo Peep are dancing brightly.)
Bo Peep | Olé! |
Woody | Toro! |
(Woody and Buzz are dancing and Jessie and Bo Peep regenerate their custom memories and then come back with their new custom parts. Jessie and Bo Peep continue dancing with Woody and Buzz as the song ends.)
Woody | Ha! Boy, am I glad to see them getting their new memories back together again. |
Buzz | Tell me about it. |
Bo Peep | Woody? |
(Woody gets up and gives Bo a handshake.)
Bo Peep | Thanks for getting my memory back, Sheriff. |
Woody | Uh, ha-ha. I-I just thought we danced. |
Jessie | YEE-HAW! My memories are back! |
Buzz | Emergency, everyone. The show will start in one minute until we'll either go there real fast, or... we stayed and last forever. What do ya say, Sheriff? *extended a handshake to Woody* |
Woody | You got it, my favorite deputy! |
(Woody and Buzz give a handshake.)
[Trans. Int. The Toy Theatre]
(It is nighttime. Knick and Tinny paste a sticker reading "The Toy Theatre" over a poster for Wheezy and the Ladies while seen in Toy Story 2.)
Knick | Right this way, toys. Ticket holder or evacuee? |
(All those two hundred toys take a seat.)
Woody | This is amazing, Buzz. Couldn't wait until the end of the day. |
Buzz | You know what, Woody? I don't know what the ability is, but I think it's more often than that. |
Woody | What about Barbie? And Wheezy? |
Rex | They think they should be there soon! But if only there's more characters of Barbie coming along with Wheezy... |
Hamm | There are too many of them. |
Woody | I think we've had all of those Barbies forever, guys. |
Flik | Don't worry, Woody, we'll do fine. |
Dot | Since Wheezy could sing all those amazing songs... |
Atta | It's gonna do all of this soon enough! |
(Wheezy arrives. Everyone appluads for Wheezy.)
Wheezy | Good evening, everybody! |
Audience | Good evening, Wheezy! |
Wheezy | This is me! Coming to you live from the soon-to-be-former toy theatre. How are y'all doin' tonight? |
Buzz | Great. |
Woody | Great! |
Jessie | It's time we're gonna have Barbie's memories back. |
Wheezy | *notices the bugs and the Circus Bugs* Oh my! If it isn't those bugs! We'd finally meet! Hey, what's your name? |
Flik | I'm Flik. |
Dot | Hi, I'm Dot! |
Atta | My name? Um, my name is Princess Atta, and I just got the thought over my mind. |
Flik | Huh? |
Wheezy | There you have it! You all finally had your names. |
Heimlich | Psst. Flik? |
Flik | Oh, Heimlich! |
Heimlich | Um, Flik? I feel like I'm kinda curious about this, but can we please get over this for once? |
Flik | We can't. We have to watch Wheezy, so he's talking to us. |
Heimlich | Oh, right. *to the other bugs* Francis, do we know how to make this a musical? |
Francis | Who cares, Heimlich? We're only in a musical. Trust me, what could possibly happen? |
Slim | Do you, uh, notices those humans? |
Woody | Yes, he does. |
Francis | Oh. |
Wheezy | This song's a special request from Sheriff Woody! |
(The audience cheers and applauses loudly.)
Buzz | Jessie's right, Woody. This has gotta bring Barbie's memories back. |
("Fascinating Rhythm" begins to play with Wheezy's tune.)
Wheezy | Got a little rhythm, a rhythm, a rhythm |
(All the Barbie performances approach and begin tap-dance with Wheezy in front of the audience.)
Francis | Look at that disgusting display. |
Slim | Yes, sir! |
Rosie | Don't get easy on them, fellas. Look at them! |
(Slim, Francis, and Heimlich anxiously stare at Wheezy and the Barbie performances at they continue tap-dancing.)
Wheezy | Fascinating Rhythm |
(The music begins to speed up.)
Wheezy |
|
(As Wheezy sings, Woody and Buzz then join Wheezy and the Barbie performances onstage. Woody, Buzz, Wheezy and the Barbie performances tap-dance onstage.)
Flik | *horrified* WOODY?! |
Dot | *panicked* BUZZ!? |
(Woody, Buzz, Wheezy and the Barbie performances continue tap-dancing onstage.)
Wheezy | Oh, how I long to be the man I used to be! |
Barbie gang | Fascinating Rhythm, |
(Woody and Buzz continue dancing and do a backflip.)
Barbie gang | Fascinating Rhythm, |
(Woody and Buzz split up while tap-dancing.)
Wheezy and the Barbie gang | Stop picking on |
(The audience cheers loudly as Woody and Buzz do a ta-da pose. )
Buzz | Woody, we did it! ...Woody? |
(Collapsed on the ground and ringing in his ears, an immensely-exhausted Woody looks at Flik and Dot. Dot holds onto Flik's hand as Flik and Dot walk away.)
Woody | Wait... Guys, did you see what I did...? Flik? Dot? |
Barbie | *excited* Amaze! My memories are back now! And, hey, where's Ken? |
Jessie | Woody, are you okay!? |
Woody | I'm fine! I'm fine. Nothing to worry about it. Everything's always fine. |
Mr. Potato Head | Woody, you alright? |
Mrs. Potato Head | We've never also got our problems solved for you, but we just had our memories. |
Woody | Wait, wait, wait. You got your memories back? |
Mr. Potato Head | Mm-hm. |
Woody | It's, you know, just a start, guys, but I didn't know what could possibly happen- |
Tuck and Roll | Whoopee! |
Roll | Can't wait for another success. |
Tuck | Lots of successes. |
Roll | Remember, Woody, you could be duplicated here- |
Tuck | And here- |
Roll | And there- |
Tuck | And there- |
Tuck and Roll | And everywhere that we've also got a friend in you! |
Woody | What!? Wait a minute. Jessie, what's the status on them? |
Jessie | I can't remember. What about them? Those are new toys that are named Mrs. Teapotts, Rose Burkkins, Captain Redbeard, Blossom and Perry. They've come from New York, Woody. Something must've happened since then. |
Woody | Then I won't let them torture my friends again! |
(Bullseye descends back too.)
Buzz | Whoa, cowboy, are you sure you don't need a break? |
Woody | When I have one toy left. Ride like the wind, Bullseye! |
(Woody hops on Bullseye's back, before riding off. It starts raining.)
Buzz | Woody, wait! |
(Woody and Bullseye ride out of the theatre and off to the streets.)
Woody | *sighs* Just this day, everything was perfect. Why did these toys have to change? My friends? Buzz. Jessie. Forky. And... *sighs* ...everyone. Including Flik and Dot. Oh, I want my life back to get played with! |
(As Woody and Bullseye arrive at the streetwalk.)
Woody | Those antagonist toys got them. *gets off of Bullseye and speaks to him* Go have a talk with Buzz and Jessie, we need all hands on deck. |
(Bullseye rushes away. Woody runs off to find Flik and Dot.)
[Trans. Int. The Streetwalk]
(Woody is walking in the street. He finds Flik and Dot sitting on the walls.)
Woody | Flik? Dot? |
(He approaches them. Frantic, Flik and Dot are worried.)
Flik | Woody, we just... started getting these feelings out of our sight. |
Woody | That's- That's good! |
Flik | Don't you see, Woody? We just saw you and Buzz dancing with Wheezy, remember? |
Woody | Wait. What? |
Dot | You were levitating with Buzz. |
Woody | Okay. Good. I need you to remember. The toy injector adjusts New York into danger. Please, think! Do you remember "A Bug's Life"? |
Flik | "A Bug's Life"? That's a movie. |
Woody | That is. So, Dot? Whose music did they sing? |
Dot | It's just something. You friends are in there. |
Flik | One day, we first met you guys! More than anything! A brand new place to play! |
Woody | So, why are you at Al's Toy Barn? |
(Flik and Dot sighed. As Dot sing "Someone to Watch Over Us".)
Dot |
|
(Woody is enlightened. Flik and Dot lay down and look up in the rainy night sky.)
Dot |
|
(Woody sits down and watch Flik and Dot. The scene starts a flashback in Al's Toy Barn as seen in Toy Story 2.)
Dot |
|
(The camera moves to search for Flik. Several years went by, Flik continued to stand still as Buzz, in flashback, is running down the front of the aisles.)
Dot |
|
(Flik's eyes looked at Dim, Heimlich, Tuck and Roll, Francis, and Hopper. His eyes looked at Buzz walking down the Buzz Lightyear aisle.)
Dot |
|
(After 20 years, a frayed Flik, still standing still, watched Woody's broadcast from earlier, and came to a horrific realization.)
Dot |
|
(Flik's mind tingled. He may have to be so kind. The flashback ends.)
Dot | Someone to watch over us |
(Song ends. Flik and Dot look away. Woody sighs.)
Woody | Guys... *sighs* Both of you. Great singing. You know how that- |
Flik | Huh? |
Woody | *sighs* Flik, Dot, we're trying to say something to you, but, well, Buzz and I can't say it without the proper setting. |
Dot | Woody, what does that mean? |
Woody | *chuckles widely and sighs* Wait a sec. A beautiful sunset. Missed from the distance. Colors of lights in a garden. Guys, you should come back and spend time with my friends. We should start over there right now, and make new friends to have us toys. |
Flik | That's great. Can you say it, Woody? |
(Woody sighs in relief, and speaks to them.)
Woody | I'll try. |
(Woody begins to sing "You Were Meant For Me".)
Woody | Life was a song |
(Woody then walks up to Flik and Dot and offers both of his hands to Flik and Dot again.)
Woody | You were meant for me |
Flik | And I was meant for you |
(Flik turns to Dot and offers his hand to her.)
Woody | You're like a plaintive melody |
(Flik and Dot join the song from Woody.)
Woody, Flik and Dot | But I'm content |
(Woody brought three umbrellas from himself, Flik and Dot. They were walking in the streetwalk as they start dancing in the rain. They go back into the hotel as Woody goes inside and faces Flik and Dot.)
Flik | But I'm content |
(Concluding Woody's song, Flik and Dot hug each other as they follow him.)
[Trans. Int. The hotel room]
(Inside the hotel, Buzz and Jessie anxiously wait for Woody.)
Jessie | If he finds them, they'll get back, right? |
Buzz | Well, Woody thinks we've found a moving buddy. |
Rex | But if Bonnie gets those new toys, she's going to forget about all of us! |
Bo Peep | That's not going to happen, right? |
Jessie | Of course, it isn't! |
(The Peas-in-a-Pod approached from under the bed.)
Peatrice | Who's gonna forget about us? |
Peanelope | Yeah, who? |
Peatey | Don't be serious. Woody's gonna come back when he needs Bonnie. |
Forky | Any spork shaped one? |
Hamm | For crying out loud, he's gonna find Flik and Dot. Right, Atta? |
Atta | I wish I knew. |
(Woody is approaching by the toys.)
Woody | Guys! |
(The toys then rush into Woody as they hug Woody with relief and happiness.)
Hamm | Hey, hey, hey buddy! |
Mrs Potato Head | Thank goodness! |
Slinky | You're back! |
Woody | Of course I'm back! |
Jessie | Woody! Oh, I was so worried! |
Woody | I'm fine. |
Atta | Flik! Dot! |
Flik | Atta! |
(Flik and Atta hug each other.)
Jessie | Oh, Woody, we owe you an apology. We were wrong to leave Bonnie. I, I was wrong. |
Mr Potato Head | Jessie's right, Woody. She was wrong. And we were wrong to blame you. |
Woody | No, no, it’s all my fault for leaving you guys. From now on, we stick together. |
Flik | That's right! |
Dot | Yeah. |
Hamm | But that means... |
Woody | It means we turn off the toy injector. And also, where's Mrs. Teapotts? And Captain Redbeard The Pirate? And Perry? And Rose Burkkins and Blossom? |
Jessie | They were right away. |
Woody | With Ducky and Bunny? |
Buzz | And the Nutcracker gang? |
Slinky | It turns out to be a real toy again. |
Woody | Oh, no. |
Hamm | Oh, yes. Return of the recruits. |
Woody | No, no. We gotta turn off the injector. |
Flik, Dot and Atta | WHAT?! |
Mrs. Potato Head | That's impossible! |
Rex | But there's no way out of here! |
Woody | No, there is one way out. One way... |
(All toys huddle up and watch Woody.)
Woody | Okay. I think I know what to do. We're gonna have to break a few rules, but if it works, it'll help everybody. |
[Trans. Toy Carnival] | |
(The toy injector continues to pump more poison into New York, as a lightning storm brews overhead. Bunny, Ducky, and the nutcracker gang are still observing the situation.)
Ducky | That sounds bad. |
Bunny | That looks bad. |
The Nutcracker | That is bad! Men, we're running out of time! Negatory, still working on the injector! Pull this thing up! Let's MOVE, MOVE, MOVE! |
(The Nutcracker gang march to the giant toy injector and lift it up.)
Bunny | *annoyed* I just can't believe what the heck is going on with that. |
(The toys approach from behind.)
Woody | Then I guess we're just in time. |
Nutcracker Soldiers | WOODY?! |
(The Nutcracker gang let go of the toy injector and rush into Woody.)
Buzz | Whoa, whoa, whoa! No need to get so pathetic. |
Ducky | Woody! What do you think you're up to!? |
Woody | I'm here to make new rules for all of you. My friends are here to help. |
Bo Peep | *to Ducky and Bunny* Including you two. |
Bunny | Me? No way! |
Buzz | Way. But we gotta stick together. |
(Bunny and Ducky look at each other and join the toys.)
Woody | Okay. Here's a list that you don't know what's going on. *to Buzz* Buzz, you navigate with Ducky and Bunny. |
Buzz | Yes, sir! |
Bunny | Are we supposed to be doing this, Ducky? |
(Ducky shrugs.) | |
Woody | *to Rex and Slinky* Rex, Slink, you take the level to pull. *to Jessie* Jessie, take care of Forky and Knifey. *to Bo Peep* Bo, do your stuff. |
Bo Peep | Yes, Sheriff. I always believe in you. |
Woody | *to Barbie and Ken* Barbie, Ken, you do the most fashion that all your costume will look like... you! |
Barbie | Me? Yes! Sounds beautiful! |
Woody | And I don't move until we get the signal. Clear? |
All toys | Yes! |
Woody | Okay. Let's move! |
(All toys split up to find some other places.)
Buzz | Buzz Lightyear mission log. The giant enormous toy injector still has been complicated. It must be poised by the Evil Emperor Zurg, but we have a lot of work to do. |
Woody | Buzz, you were right about it being poised by Zurg! |
Buzz | Right, of course. |
Ducky | This is gonna take forever! Right, Bunny? |
Bunny | Probably. |
[Trans. Int. Ken's Dream House]
(Meanwhile, Ken and Barbie arrive in the Dream House as the lights are out.)
Ken | Just let me get rid of this stuff, and I'll show you where the magic happens. |
(Ken picks up the stuff as the lights still go out.)
Ken | Well, here we are! |
(Ken turns on the light revealing dozens of outfits as the song, "Dreamweaver" plays.)
Barbie | Oh, Ken! It's beautiful! No wonder what you call it your Dream House! I can't wait to see your clothes! Would you model a few outfits for me? Just a few? |
Ken | Oh! Well, it would be my pleasure. Believe me... |
(The song, "Le Freak" plays as Ken wears the first outfit that's made in Toy Story 3.)
Ken | Barbie, I should now present this is something awesome, a ray of a parrel for your enjoyment. Ready? |
Barbie | Ready! |
Ken | Then here we go! |
(The song continues, Ken seems to be brighten up at Barbie asking him this as he starts dancing. The song ends.)
Barbie | Yes, Ken! |
Ken | Get ready to be amazed. |
Barbie | Oh! I'd wear those for the anticipation. *sighs beloved* |
(As the second song plays, Ken wears the second outfit and starts to be brighten up again.)
Ken | Start a theme song! Here's a dashing outfit for casual entertaining, especially since when it gets to someone like you, Barbie. |
Barbie | Ooh, Ken! You're my education! |
(Ken continues dancing with Barbie and the lights turn pink. Ken twirls around and Barbie claps her hands happily. The second song ends.)
Ken | Now there's something entirely terrific. |
(Barbie giggles. Ken wore the third outfit as the third song plays.)
Ken | Viola! Terrific for todays where you can sit down. |
Barbie | Oh, yes, Ken! You are onto this! |
(The song continues as Ken continues dancing again. The third song stops.)
Ken | You like it, Barbie? |
Barbie | *chuckles* |
Ken | I'll be right back in the jumping-jacks-flash! |
(Ken arrives with his Kung Fu fighting outfit.)
Ken | In the Eastern tradition, learning the final song's no offense, but learning it this time. |
(The fourth song, "Kung Fu Fighting" plays as Ken is using the trainee and run with Barbie. The Kung Fu soldiers dance with Barbie and Ken as they run with the trainees and jump onto the wall as Barbie does a backflip. Ken jumps onto the wall and does a double backflip just like Barbie did. The songs ends.)
Ken | And now, for the big finish! The really big one. |
Barbie | Oh, gee! I can't finally wait! |
(Ken was still brighten up with his sunshine outfit as the fifth, final song, "Let the Sunshine In" plays.)
Ken | Hello, world! The sunshine is here! |
(The song begins to play as Ken still is dancing with Barbie. The sunshine arrives as the chorus dances with Barbie as Ken drags Barbie up as she spins around with Ken. The song ends as the chorus applauds.)
Barbie | Oh, Ken! I can’t believe you never brought me up here! |
Ken | I know! Let's go back. |
Babrie | But we didn't get our tickets. |
Ken | Believe me, I know those clothes are way exciting! |
(Barbie smiles with Ken.)
[Trans. Ext. Toy Carnival]
(Woody and Buzz are still working with Ducky and Bunny.)
Buzz | How many minutes, Woody? |
Woody | Only one minute left. |
Jessie | *o.s.* Guys! |
(All the toys brought Mrs. Teapotts, Captain Redbeard, Perry, Rose Burkkins and Blossom.)
Jessie | We're just in time! |
Bunny | Whoa, why were they here? |
Ducky | What's the status on those new toys? *furiously* Are you holding out on us? |
Woody | They're back. And they're here to help. |
(Rose Burkkins approaches a toy injector and blows a horn loudly. The toy injector begins to retract its own, removing itself from New York. Everyone cheers at this development.)
Mr. Potato Head | Okay. Could someone fill us in? |
Woody | Thank you, guys. |
Rose Burkkins | Aww, shucks. I'm just the genius behind the genius. |
Mrs. Teapotts | What're friends for? |
Captain Redbeard | Yarrrr! |
Perry and Blossom | Thanks, Woody! |
Woody | Okay. We've almost cleaned up this mess. Now, all we need are those toys' memories, and we can all get back to Bonnie! |
Buttercup | We're going back to Bonnie! |
Jessie | YEE-HAW! |
Woody | What could work for all of us? Or Ken? |
Jessie | Yeah, what? |
(Woody sighs and thinks about himself.)
Woody | I think it's up to us. |
Flik | Wait. Bonnie needs us? |
Rex | Bonnie does want us. I knew it! I just knew it! |
Jessie | I think she did leave us there. |
Slinky | Well, then you guys and Woody were telling the truth. |
Hamm | And you didn't believe him! |
Mr. Potato Head | Hey, you didn’t believe him first! |
Forky | Okay, no one's gonna stop believing him! |
Jessie | Guys, we've gotta... we've gotta go home! |
Woody | Exactly. So, there's something about being played with... Something about love... |
Rose Burkkins | What about me...? |
Woody | Huh? |
(Rose Burkkins then glares at Woody.)
Mrs. Teapotts | Rose, please! Take it back! |
Rose Burkkins | Is that all you needed me for? To turn off my injector for toys? |
Woody | No! Well... Sort of, but- |
Rose Burkkins | Well, what now? I-I-I did what you wanted. That's it? |
Buzz | Woody, take it back. |
Woody | Well, yeah. We can just... forget this whole thing ever happened. |
Hamm and Rex | Huh?? |
Rose Burkkins | I didn't plan anything, because unlike you, I actually thought about what we're broken up again?! |
Mrs. Teapotts | Rose, if you could just- |
Rose Burkkins | *to Mrs. Teapotts* Oh, shut up! *to Woody* I've been planning a long time since you got to the place!? |
Woody | Um, you didn't plan anything. |
Rose Burkkins | How you gonna forget with me around? I'm the source of all your problems. Don't pretend you want me here. What's your plan for me, Woody, huh? You gonna put me somewhere? You gonna leave me, somewhere? You gonna leave me alone?! Do I pretend alone?!! |
Woody | Rose, come on. *consoles Rose Burkkins* |
(Rose Burkkins smacks Woody away, knocking him back. The match slides out of his pocket in the first film. Upon seeing the match, Flik and Dot jump away from the match, except for Ducky and Bunny, who looks at it curiously.)
Bunny | Oh, what's this? *proceeds to pick up the match* |
Ducky | Careful, Bunny... |
Woody | B-Bunny? Ducky! Do-Don't touch that! |
(Woody rushes towards Ducky and Bunny and snatches the match away from them, just as they light a match.)
Rose Burkkins | Why do you... have that? |
Woody | *looks at the match anxiously* I-I was just carrying it. I-I didn't have anywhere else to put it. |
(All toys gasp.) | |
Rose Burkkins | "We can just forget this ever happened"? You mean, I can just forget this ever happened! *begins laughing hysterically* Wow! What a plan! You and your toys got played with! Except your rabbit and your duck! |
Woody | What?! |
Rose Burkkins | You see, Woody? I turn off the injector for just us toys, and then the moment my back is turned, Bam! Presto! Change-o! PROBLEM SOLVED! Well, Woody, think again. You toys are not getting rid of me that easy...! |
(Rose Burkkins blows a horn very loudly, commanding the toy injector once more as it hovers on the toys.)
Rex | RUN FOR IT! |
(Everyone runs away as the toy injector reactivates and plunges itself into New York's crust, scattering the ground around it. Woody is knocked onto the ground, coughing from the dust cloud caused.)
Rose Burkkins | I'm not letting you get one over on me, Sheriff Woody! |
Woody | I wasn't going to wipe your memories, Rose! |
Rose Burkkins | Well it sounds like you were. |
Woody | It's not like that, all right? The first thing I'm gonna do is to fix my toys. |
Rose Burkkins | Well, you expect me to believe that you want me like this?! |
Ken | *peeks over* Woody? Why are you fighting? Aren't we all friends? |
Rose Burkkins | Looks like we've still got an audience. How about a front-row seat? |
(Rose Burkkins then grabs Ken while kidnapping him.)
Woody | Ken! |
Rose Burkkins | You know, this is pretty twisted, but I'm a little flattered that Barbie doll liked the old me: innocent, loving, stupid. If that's your thing, why don't you leave him like this? |
Woody | Get away from him. *holds up the match* |
Rose Burkkins | Oh, you're so protective of your real friends, and why don't you get so careless with your fake ones! |
Woody | It's not fake, Rose, don't even think about it! |
Rose Burkkins | You do wanna beat me?! Ho! You wanna attack me. Just admit it. Or better yet, just TRY it! |
Woody | Stop it! |
Rose Burkkins | Then stop me! |
Woody | NO!! |
Rose Burkkins | WHY NOT?!?! |
Woody | BECAUSE, THAT'S NOT THE TRUTH!!! |
(Woody slams his match while dropping it and letting it broke by the explosion.)
Ken | The truth. |
(Ken suddenly breaks free from a surprised Rose Burkkins' grasp with an unprecedented break free.)
Ken | I've known hardships and confusion, but love can live through it all, if you let the sunshine in, then you gotta let it in together! |
(As his memories begin to flood back, Ken begins to finally change into his parts, engulfed in a glowing white light.)
Woody | Ken's final piece! |
Rose Burkkins | No... Stop! Don't you dare! |
(Rose Burkkins tries to hurl a boulder to crush Ken, to no avail, as the fusion simply breaks it apart in one punch. Ken stands proudly with his fist in the air, as he begins to sing "Aquarius / Let the Sunshine In".)
Ken | When the moon is in the Seventh House |
(Ken blazes back to his regeneration.)
Ken | This is the dawning of the age of Aquarius |
(Happy that Ken has returned, Woody, Buzz, Jessie and Babrie reunite with him and the four embrace each other in a hug. Filled with rage again, Rose Burkkins then lunges forward, and Buzz blocks her.)
Ken | When the moon is in the Seventh House |
(Rose Burkkins tries to attack the toys, who evade the attacks. Buzz, holding onto Woody's legs, who is holding onto Barbie's Corvette, swings Barbie towards Rose Burkkins and kicks them away in this combined attack.)
Ken | This is the dawning of the age of Aquarius |
(Rose Burkkins lands on one of the toy injector's legs and propels towards Woody like a spring to hurt him. Buzz catches her legs in time, and Flik and Dot grab onto her arms. The toys stretch Rose Burkkins and flings her towards the toy injector, hitting her head on it. Undefeated, a grinning Rose Burkkins bounces to the top of the toy injector, blowing a horn really louder. The toy injector instantly drains all the poison inside, causing fissures all around and flooding New York in the poison. All the toys begin to flee, as the poison splashes everywhere.)
Buzz | We have to stop Rose Burkkins. |
Flik | That includes you, Woody. |
Woody | Wait! Buzz, you have your wings, you glow in the dark, you gotta save everybody! I'll deal with Rose Burkkins. |
Dot | She'll crush you, Woody! |
Flik | You can't fight her! |
Woody | But I can still talk to her. Please, hurry. |
Buzz | Right! *places a reassuring hand on Flik and Dot* We love you, Woody. *to everyone* Move out! |
(All the toys begin to hustle into New York to save other recurring toys, leaving Woody behind. Using what is left of his power, Woody leaps up towards the top of the toy injector. Frantic, Woody falls down, clinging desperately to the glass wall of the toy injector. At that moment, Woody sees all the toys saving all the other toys. Buzz flies down and escorts Bitey White, Shakes the Rattle and Carl Reineroceros, when the poison splashes onto his left arm, turning it almost necrotic. Despite, Jessie quickly rides on Bullseye with Buzz. Bo Peep, Forky and Dolly are also seen rescuing other toys, when a geyser of poison flings a Corvette in their direction, which Bo Peep skillfully cleaves in half with her crook. All the toys are brought to the Toy Carnival, where they are out of harm's way. Inspired, Dot hugs Flik's leg as he pats her. Woody begins to climb the toy injector, as he continues Ken's song.)
Woody | Let the sunshine |
Ken | Let the sunshine (Oh let it shine!) |
(Everyone watches Woody with concerns as he struggles to make his way to the top of the toy injector.)
Ken | (You've got to feel it) |
(With much preservation, Woody finally reaches the top of the toy injector and he collapses in exhaustion. As the song concludes, he spots Rose Burkkins standing up ahead, facing away from him. He quickly picks himself up and approaches her.)
Woody | *weakly* Hey. Rose, come on. We toys can talk this out. |
Rose Burkkins | I don't wanna talk anymore. |
Woody | *sighs* Rose, come on. This ISN'T A GAME! |
(Woody suddenly receives a punch in the face by Rose Burkkins. Rose Burkkins delivers a second stronger, wound-up punch into Woody's face, sending him flying towards the edge of the toy injector and giving him a nosebleed. She then extends her arm to grab Woody's arm and dangle him over the edge. She angrily looks at Woody, an expression of pure hatred on her face.)
Rose Burkkins | You know, I don't need your help. You're the one that needs help. You think you've beaten me, but you've never beaten me on your own. You've always been a toy. You've always had your friends because you're nothing without them. You think everyone needs help. |
Woody | I-I just... |
Rose Burkkins | I came here to take my anger out on a bunch of Space Rangers and cowboys, but now that I know you, I wanna kill you even MORE! |
(Rose Burkkins begins letting go of Woody one finger at a time. The latter panics, looking down at the city and at Rose Burkkins.)
Woody | I DON'T GET IT!!! |
Rose Burkkins | Huh?! |
Woody | Why is my pull-string back? Aren't I reliving every horrible thing that's ever happened to me? A toy I barely know is trying to kill me! I've been there for Andy, and I've been there for Bonnie, too! I'm paying for stuff my friends did that had nothing to do with me! I didn't wanna die! I'm struggling with my strength! The world's about to end!! What piece could I be missing?! This is the story of my life!!! |
(In reaction, Rose Burkkins lets out an almost mocking cackle.)
Rose Burkkins | Wow! I knew that I was gonna set you toys back, but this is how you started? The cowboy, Sheriff Woody Pride? *laughs* You gotta be kidding me. No one is as busted as you! Why did I think the toys are in danger besides YOU become savior by the ROUNDUP?!! |
(Woody's eyes widen.) | |
Woody | Wait a sec. That's the final piece. All those mutant toys make a lot of noise 'cause of Sid. I learned from them, and I grew. Oh my gosh. It's not just my powers my toys got. All of my ballets, the play, and lights of Toy-Way has made me forget the first power I ever had: to make a lotta noise! |
(Woody begins to glow as his regenerations slowly return. Unimpressed, Rose Burkkins drops Woody to fall to his demise. However, Woody's ultimate power finally reactivates and he stops in midair. A triumphant Woody, now with his regained powers, begins cycling through his different pull-string abilities, causing in a shockwave that sends a shocked Rose Burkkins back. Floating back onto atop the toy injector, Woody wipes the blood from his nose and begins to sing "Make a Lot of Noise".)
Woody | Who ya callin' busted? |
(Standing before Rose Burkkins, Woody begins engaging her in battle, blocking her attacks.)
Woody | Who ya callin' busted? |
(An enraged Rose Burkkins then turns herself into a spinning top and attacks Woody in all direction, which he blocks successfully, before leaping up into the air.)
Woody | There'll be no more pain, no more rippin' apart! |
(Woody materializes two miniature gauntlets around his fists like boxing gloves, which he uses to parry Rose Burkkins' wild blows.)
Woody | So play nice. |
(Annoyed, Rose Burkkins enlarges her hands to grab, spin, and toss Woody up into the sky. She then bounces herself like a spring after him high up in the skies, as Woody continues to sing.)
Woody | This is gonna be great |
(Unmoved by Woody's song, the wayward toy grits her teeth, and enlarges her hand, coiling her arm around into a giant, spring-mounted fist.)
Rose Burkkins | JUST CAN IT, WON'T YA?!! |
(Cocking her fist, Rose Burkkins aims her fist down at Woody.)
Rose Burkkins | You can't just make everything better by SINGING SOME... STUPID SONG!!!! |
(Rose Burkkins then punches down at a surprised Woody, sending him careening down onto the toy injector's top, with the impact strong enough to shake the earth and damage the machine. As Rose Burkkins descends from the sky, she sees Woody unharmed from the blow, bearing himself inside a crater from the impact.)
Rose Burkkins | All that stuff's too easy for you and your friends! When you make noise, you make a little noise. When I make noise, I MAKE A LOT OF NOISE!!!! |
(Rose Burkkins lunges at Woody, who easily defends her blows with him.)
Rose Burkkins | You are a toy! You're a child's plaything! You do not look like this! You do not SOUND like this! You're not a victim! You're just a 1950 vintage cowboy doll! But NOW- NOW... I'M A TOY TOO!!!!!! |
(Growing her fists to a ridiculous size, Rose Burkkins slams then down on Woody, further cracking the toy injector's surface. Rose Burkkins then starts laughing frantically, as she collapses to her knees and breaks down.)
Rose Burkkins | *weak cry* That's funny, r-right? A-At least you toys found me entertaining. You actually... liked me, didn't you? What am I doing? Why do I wanna hurt you so bad? Why did I wanna try to terrorize all your toys? I'm supposed to be a toy. I just wanna be a toy. |
(Woody, in a show of sympathy, slowly letting down his defenses to talk with a startled Rose Burkkins.)
Woody | Hey.. |
(Before Woody can comfort a sobbing Rose Burkkins, the toy injector begins to explode from the damage it had sustained. Only capable of looking at each other, Woody and Rose Burkking are engulfed in an earth-shattering explosion, which everyone watches in shock and horror and begin panicking from the safety of Toy Carnival.)
Ducky and Bunny | WOODY?!!! |
Buzz, Jessie, Hamm, Rex and Slinky | WOODY!!! |
(Debris falls everywhere from the skies. As the smoke clouds clear, Woody and Rose Burkkins descend, surviving the explosion wearing the parachute. Woody and Rose Burkkins float down into the crater from the explosion. He sets Rose Burkkins down on a rock, and looks around at his surroundings.)
Woody | Whoa. |
Rose Burkkins | Oh, no, no, no, no, no. What did I do? I've wrecked everything! It's all my fault! |
Woody | Well, that's... one way that my friends and I got rid of your injector. |
Rose Burkkins | But what about the poison? What about the planet? What about the story of your life? |
Woody | There's no such thing as my own story. What chance does a toy like me have against a Rose Burkkins? All I can do is... *pulls his own pull-string* |
Woody | *voice box* You're my favorite deputy! |
(Feeling guilty, Woody smiles as he offers her his hand, which she accepts, and he helps Rose Burkkins up on her feet.)
Woody | Why would Bonnie ever want to play with me, when the other kid's got you? |
Rose Burkkins | I...I'm sorry. |
Bo Peep | *o.s., from distance* Woody? |
Woody | Bo? |
(Bo Peep approaches, riding on Bullseye from the distance, searching for Woody.)
Bo Peep | Woody! Where are you? |
Woody | Bo! *to Rose Burkkins briefly* Wait right here. I'll be back. Really. |
(Woody runs off to greet Bo Peep, as she slides into the crater.)
Bo Peep | We saw that big huge explosion and- *hugs Woody* |
Woody | I-I'm okay, Bo. I'm okay. What about you? |
Bo Peep | *sighs* I'm fine. |
(The pair exchange a brief blush, before Bullseye arrives to greet Woody, who gives him a happy nuzzle. Meanwhile, a dejected, teary-eyed Rose Burkkins watches from afar, longing for another friendship and carrying immense guilt.)
Woody | Bullseye! *laughs with Bo* |
Bo Peep | Sure seems that way. |
(Buzz arrives with the toys. They run down into the crater, before popping out almost theatrically.)
Toys | Woody! |
Flik, Dot and Atta | Woody! |
Rex | Hooray! |
Woody | Guys! Buzz! |
(The group rejoice with a group hug.)
Woody | Is everyone in New York okay? |
Buzz | Everyone is safe, and accounted for. |
Woody | *notices Buzz's arm* Oh, Buzz, your arm... |
Buzz | Hey, my arm just fine, cowboy. See? |
Woody | Wow! You're good as new, Buzz. |
Slinky | It'd be cool if you could do that to the whole city, heh. |
Woody | Oh, Slink...! That's not a pretty bad idea! |
Slinky | Woody! I was joking! |
(The grass and flowers to grow on the barren dirt. The toys are amazed and shocked.)
Woody | Wow! |
Dot | Cool! |
Rex | Yay! |
Mr. Potato Head | Holy cow! What are they doing? |
Hamm | Look! They're are vibrating the grass and the flowers, heh. |
(The grass and flowers to grow again.)
Woody | Well I guess I am a noble steed. |
Forky | I guess that's so much for noble steed. |
Karen Beverly | Hmm.... |
Flik | We should probably get some water. *looks at Buzz* Staying hydrated is very important when it comes to smooching. |
Ducky | Well, we gave it a shot. *to Bunny* Right, Bunny? |
Bunny | You said it, Ducky. *chuckles* |
Woody | Huh? |
(Woody notices Rose Burkkins walking away and runs over to her.)
Woody | Rose, wait! I really was going to come back. |
Rose Burkkins | I know... |
Woody | Then, w-where are you going? |
Rose Burkkins | Back to my own favorite kid, but I've got work to do. Friendship isn't going to be easy for me. I'm gonna have to work at it. You make me wanna try, but... *sighs deeply* Woody, I've already messed up bad with you. I wish I could just start from scratch with somebody. |
Woody | Rose, I just wanted to say but... *chuckles anxiously* you don't have to leave without your new friends. Blossom, Mrs. Teapotts, Captain Redbeard, and Perry. Don't you wanna know them, too? |
Rose Burkkins | *stares at Woody curiously* I'm not getting along with my new friends. But I'm getting along by myself. You just said I am thinking clearly. |
(Jessie and Atta approached by Rose Burkkins.)
Jessie | I thought there's a kid waiting for you. |
Atta | Are we interrupting something? |
Rose Burkkins | Hah, it was only 50 years. Such an amusing end. For 50 years, I wanted nothing more than to have my kid back. But now, here it is, and... *nervously* Ha. I'm not leaving it again. |
Atta | I guess then... |
(Atta begins to sing "No One is Alone (And Forgotten)".)
Atta | We toys cannot guide you |
Flik | And forgotten |
Atta | Truly |
Flik | And forgotten |
(Bo Peep walks in and begins to sing.)
Bo Peep | Sometimes people leave you |
Woody | And forgotten |
Bo Peep | But no one is alone |
Woody | And forgotten |
(Flik and Dot hold hands.)
Dot | I wish |
(Atta turns to face Dot.)
Atta | I know |
(Rose Burkkins' longing and solemn expression slowly changes to a warm smile.)
Jessie | That's why we're here now |
Buzz | Wrong things, right things |
Jessie | Who knows what she'd say? |
Woody | Who can say what's true? |
Jessie | Nothing's quite so clear now |
Buzz | Do things, fight things |
Jessie | Feel you've lost your way? |
Woody | You decide, but |
Jessie, Woody and Buzz | You are not alone |
Rex | And forgotten |
Jessie | Believe me |
Hamm | And forgotten |
Slinky | Believe me |
Atta | Truly |
Flik, Dot and Atta | You move just a finger |
Flik | No one acts alone |
Dot | And forgotten |
Flik | Careful |
Dot and Atta | And forgotten |
Dolly and Mr. Pricklepants | People make mistakes |
Rex and Trixie | Holding to their own |
Woody | And forgotten |
Bo Peep | Honor their mistakes |
Buzz | Fight for their mistakes |
Jessie | Everybody makes |
Woody, Buzz, Jessie and Bo Peep | One another's terrible mistakes |
Atta | Just remember |
Flik | Just remember |
(Rose Burkkins joins the toys in their song.)
Toys | Someone is on your side (our side, our side) |
(A car approaches by the toys including Rose Burkkins.)
Rose Burkkins | Hard to see the light now |
Woody | Just don't let it go |
Rose Burkkins and Woody | Things will come out right now |
(Rose Burkkins hops onto the car as the car drives away. Finally relieved everything has come to this resolution, Woody and Buzz look at each other as the latest song "Finale" plays.)
Buzz | What do you say, cowboy? |
Woody | I guess so. Let's dance! |
(Woody and Buzz make a handshake, a high-five, and a fist-bump as they begin to dance. By the Spanish dance again, Buzz twirls Woody around. Flik and Atta join the dancing, as they start bouncing on the stop. Just then, Woody is marching with his friends as they begin to sing.)
Toys | Out on the gay white way and each merry café |
(Rejoicing together, the toys step into the Toy Carnival, where a massive of the other toys and Bonnie's toys await them.)
Toys | You were meant for me |
(The toys group up all together and sing along with Woody. Time quickly passes on, as ruined New York gradually gets repaired, by the combined efforts of 150 toys. Finally reunited, Bonnie now plays with her new toys, and Mason playing with his toys too.)
Toys | Good mornin', good mornin' |
(The scene pans up to the starry night sky, before shifting the scene to a brightly-lit broadway stage, Woody, Buzz, Flik, Dot, Jessie, Bo Peep and the toys all wearing suits and peacock feathers.)
Toys | I'm singing in the rain, |
(Ducky and Bunny then walk onstage, wearing a suit too, and hands Woody a bouquet of rose. The group claps all together as a kindful Woody culminates the performance, and the curtains close. The "New Toy Story" title card appears and the credits begin to roll. After the credits, Disney logo is closing and Pixar logo is closing too.)
